  4.  » Iran is trying to acquire weapons of mass destruction according to German intelligence report

Introduction – May 29, 2019

The following report is deliberately misleading and stands alongside earlier reports about Saddam Hussein’s Weapons of Mass Destruction for sheer duplicity.
However, the information in the report doesn’t originate with British or U.S. intelligence but comes from German equivalent of MI5. This is the same German spy agency that raised concerns about Russian interference in German elections in December 2016. That was before the Mueller investigation into Russian interference in the U.S. election got underway. So obviously, this particular intelligence agency is ahead of the game, at least in terms of disinformation.
According to the Bavarian Office for the Protection of the Constitution, its agents discovered that Iran had been trying to acquire “a beam welding machine which can be used for making missile launch vehicles”.
That statement alone is misleading, as a beam welding machine has multiple functions, like a knife or a hammer or many other tools. According to “Global Laser Welding Machine Market 2019 Production, Consumption, Export, Import…” laser welding machines have a variety of applications, including:
-> Medical
-> Electronics
-> Jewellery Industry
-> Automotive
-> Tool and Mold-Making
-> Others
So laser-welding machines have many uses but we will give German intelligence the benefit of the doubt and concede that Iran may have been trying to acquire one for its missile program. In fact that’s quite plausible, given the Iran currently trying to improve the accuracy of its missiles.
Yet even if that is the case, a missile development program is one thing while the development of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) is something else again. These are two different endeavours with entirely different objectives. Moreover, the German intelligence report seems to assume that the laser would be used to develop WMD, without citing anything to support this.
Nor does the Mail Online report contain anything further to substantiate claims that the beam-welding machine was being used to develop WMD. Basing that claim on little more than supposition.
To underline these claims the Mail Online goes on to quote rabid warmonger John Bolton. According to Bolton, there was “no reason” for Iran to back out of its nuclear deal other than to develop WMD.
So in defiance of logic, Bolton is saying that Iran is walking away from a nuclear deal – THAT TRUMP HAD ALREADY ABANDONED – because it wants develop WMD.
And if you believe that you’ll believe anything; as Iran’s Supreme Leader has ruled that the acquisition, development and use of nuclear weapons are forbidden by Islam.
Yet the warmongers in the White House and their lackeys in the corporate media are still trying to frame Iran, as they once did Saddam’s Iraq, with false claims about WMD.
To this end we would suggest that someone in the Trump administration requested that the German report be compiled; in the hope that it would function like a modern day a equivalent of Tony Blair’s infamous dossier on Saddam’s WMD.
Coming from German intelligence, the report was supposed to seem more impartial than if U.S., British or Israeli intelligence had compiled it. Or at least that was the intention but its conclusions are so obviously flawed that few will be convinced. Ed.

Iran is trying to acquire weapons of mass destruction according to German intelligence report

Ross Ibbetson – Mail Online May 29, 2019

A German intelligence report says Iran is trying to expand its arsenal with weapons on mass destruction amid flaring tensions with the U.S.

The May 2019 report refers to the Islamic Republic as a ‘risk country’ that is ‘making efforts to expand its conventional arsenal of weapons with weapons of mass destruction.’

The Bavarian Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the equivalent of MI5, define these as atomic bombs, biological and chemical weapons.

The Iranians said they would restrict their nuclear program in the 2015 Iran Deal, but the Trump administration slammed the agreement because they said it did not prevent weapons development.

President Donald Trump has famously called it the ‘worst deal in history.’

US national security adviser John Bolton said on Wednesday there was ‘no reason’ for Iran to back out of its nuclear deal other than to seek atomic weapons, a year after the U.S. president unilaterally withdrew America from the accord.

Iran has set a July 7 deadline for Europe to offer better terms to the unravelling nuclear deal, otherwise it will resume enrichment closer to weapons level.

The US ambassador to Germany told Fox News: ‘We know the Iranian regime is on the hunt for money to fund their malign activities and so it is imperative that the U.S. and our European allies work together to deny this regime the capital they seek.

‘They will use secretive schemes and dark money; we must be vigilant. They are strapped for cash.’

The German Intelligence report states that Iran, along with North Korea and Pakistan, are attempting to obtain contracts from their technologically advanced factories.

It refers to German customs officers intercepting a beam welding machine which can be used for making missile launch vehicles.

The device had been ordered through a Malaysian company but was destined for Iran, the intelligence report said.
