Irish Savant – April 4, 2019

Moygashel is a small village in Co. Tyrone Northern Ireland.  Like most places on this island its people take a dim view of having Third World detritus dumped on them. But unlike most places on this island the locals have been open and unapologetic about their resistance. As these images underline. The opposition has extended to the point of  helpfully pointing out to landlords that ‘leasing to foreign nationals will not be tolerated’.  Given that particular area of Norn Iron I’m sure would-be lessors quickly got the message.
So what’s not to love?
Before considering that let us reflect on the Miami Showband massacre. Back in 1975, at the height of The Troubles, the eponymous showband was travelling back to Dublin after a gig in Ulster. They were stopped at a road block by rogue elements of the Ulster Defence Regiment who planned to place a powerful time bomb in the group’s van and set it to explode as they reached Dublin. Unfortunately for them the bomb went off as they planted it, killing the two bombers. At which point the remaining gang members opened fire on the band killing all but the two who were blown by the explosion into wooded land beside the road.
What’s this got to do with Moygashel and its resistance to the foreign invasion? Well you see Wesley Sommerville, one of the bombers who got blown up, was from that village. That being so you’d imagine that the villagers would disown him and be embarrassed by any mention of his name. But far from it. Wesley is celebrated there as a hero, a ‘fallen volunteer’. They even have a permanent monument erected to him! (That’s Wes on the right below).

This reaction is explained by the fact that Moygashel is virtually 100% a Protestant / Loyalist village. And to its inhabitants the horror of seeing blacks or Muslims moving in would be exceeded only by the arrival of their fellow countrymen of the Catholic / Fenian persuasion from down the road. Which illustrates a very serious fault line running through any attempt at White unity in Europe. Because attempts to repel the Third World invasion by appealing to ethnic and nationalist traditions carry within them the seeds of intra-White conflagration. As the upstanding citizens of Moygashel show us. All over Europe similar passions slumber, their ashes waiting to be ignited by some as yet undetermined spark. But we need those passions because facts and logic will not in themselves counter the invasion. The White Soul must first be stirred.
So there’s our dilemma. What can we learn from Moygashel?
