In recent days Russia has secured some decisive victories in Ukraine. Although you wouldn’t know it from the Western MSM, which appears to be trying to integrate snippets of facts on the ground with the heroic tale of inevitable Ukraine victory
Russia initially invaded with some 100,000 troops supported by another 50,000 from the Donetzk/Luhansk Republics. It was hardly enough to invade Ukraine. Given that they were met with a mobilised Ukrainian force of 650,000. Moon of Alabama traces subsequent developments and what is likely to happen next
The Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov has just echoed exactly what the Kremlin has been saying.
Despite what the Western MSM keeps telling us, Russian domestic unity has only grown over the war. Moon of Alabama on how every indication points to Russia prevailing
The Western mainstream media does not inform its audience. It indoctrinates and deceives and as a result the public is unable to make informed decisions based on facts
The setup and displacement time for a M-777 howitzer are each at least three minutes with a well-trained crew. When radar detects a Ukrainian M-777 fire the Russian response now comes in before the gun is moved out. As a result, 4 M-777 howitzers and numerous other missile and artillery systems have been taken out in the past two days in the Donetsk region
The New York Times lauded Zelensky’s recent U.S. visit as “daring” and bold”. Leaving Moon of Alabama wondering what was “daring” and “bold” about travelling in an armoured car from Kiev to Poland and then flying on a U.S. military plane to Washington? And why is it reminiscent of Vietnamese President Diem’s visit decades before?
For once a realistic report about the situation in Ukraine manages to slip past the corporate media censors. It features in the UK Daily Express and it almost sounds like something from WWI, with the Ukrainians in dire straits
The destruction of Ukraine’s power network continues. Some of this will take years to repair and it will likely create more refugees who will flood West. When that happens will those in western Europe be able to admit that they helped create the problem through their blind support of their government’s policies in Ukraine?
Moon of Alabama on why the S-300 missile strike in Poland wasn’t an accident but a deliberate attempt to escalate the conflict. Fortunately, Western leaders have acknowledged that it wasn’t from Russia but that doesn’t mean that this won’t happen again
Note we’ve added a link about how instead of using US financial aid to support its war with Russia, Ukraine “invested” part or all of the financial aid from its U.S. sponsors into a crypto-currency exchange, which appears to have gone bankrupt.
As Moon of Alabama reveals, U.S. “news” on Russia is little more than a grotesque caricature of reality. Trouble is, many Westerners are too stupefied by the MSM to question what they are told and people are dying as a result
