\"\"<\/a>I have been all over the place in my own life. I’ve gone through spurts of what I refer to as “hitting on everything that moves.”<\/span><\/h5>\n
I’ve lived with a woman in a committed relationship for several years. I’ve had long distance flames, and I’ve seen multiple women at the same time.<\/h5>\n
I’ve had periods of self-imposed abstinence. I’m not an expert, but I’m an observant person.<\/h5>\n
I can tell you that young women today (18-34) are a very different demographic than their Baby Boomer or Generation X mothers.<\/h5>\n
Most of these gals are not, in fact, feminists. They do, however, have feminist knee-jerk thoughts and reactions embedded into their minds.<\/h5>\n
I don’t think Dr. Makow’s assertion that “love for a woman is 90% trust” applies to this age group.<\/h5>\n
For these women, respect<\/em> is the key ingredient. If they don’t fully respect the man they’re with, the relationship is doomed.<\/h5>\n
It’s actually more important that the woman can be trusted by the man<\/em>, for (at least) the following reasons:<\/h5>\n
1) Men are not directly connected to reproduction. When a woman has a child, it’s clearly hers. When a man has a child – and is going to spend his life providing\/caring for it – he needs to have faith that it’s his until\/unless it’s obvious.<\/h5>\n
2) Most young women respect “players”. It’s a show of power and authority. It means that he takes what he wants and isn’t ashamed of it. All that alpha crap. This is obviously a generalization, but it’s more true than not. So if a young woman is settled in with a man who has stopped trying to attract other women (because he has the one he wants), other men who are still sexually aggressive are more appealing in this way.<\/h5>\n
However, this can be negated if the man is attacking his career goals or more important things with bravado. A shrinking economy makes this difficult for many.<\/h5>\n
