His main sponsors, however, have been the Bush Family. He has worked for them between 1984 and 2000. His most senior position was that of Special Assistant to President Bush Sr.<\/h5>\n<h5>TIME magazine called Wead an insider in the Bush family orbit and &#8220;the man who coined the phrase &#8216;Compassionate Conservative.&#8217; (wikipedia)<\/h5>\n<h5>On june 5th\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dougwead.wordpress.com\/2012\/06\/05\/behind-the-brutality-in-louisiana\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #ffff99;\">Doug Wead wrote on his blog<\/span><\/a>: &#8220;What was behind the broken bones, hysteria and bruised egos at last weekend&#8217;s Louisiana State GOP Convention?\u00a0 Why the attacks on legitimately elected Ron Paul delegates?\u00a0 \u00a0Don&#8217;t the Romney folks get it?\u00a0 Don&#8217;t they want to win in November?\u00a0 Don&#8217;t they want and need the youth vote?\u00a0 Hispanics? \u00a0Independents?\u00a0 Even, the Democrats, that Ron Paul is attracting to the party?&#8221;<\/h5>\n<h5>In short: the Paul Campaign is a Republican Campaign masquerading as &#8216;Liberty Movement&#8217; and attracting the disenfranchised into the party for Romney.
