The parents of the victim have spoken extensively with the media, describing their anguish over their son\u2019s murder and calling for political change in Germany, including political cooperation with Alternative for Germany (AfD) party to protect citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The Trier Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office announced Tuesday that it had applied to the Trier Regional Court for a security proceeding aimed at permanently placing the suspect, Sajad Mirzaee, in a closed forensic psychiatric facility. He was murdered on July 15 on a sidewalk along Robert-Schuman-Allee. Police said the two men did not know each other before the stabbing.<\/p>\n<p>Mirzaee allegedly pushed Dick from the sidewalk in a random attack and stabbed him multiple times with a large kitchen knife. During the attack, one blow struck Dick\u2019s heart. Emergency services attempted to save Dick but he died shortly after arriving at a local hospital. Mirzaee later received a permanent residence permit in 2023, meaning he could stay in Germany indefinitely.<\/p>\n<p>Dick\u2019s parents, Elke and Thomas Dick, had previously told <a href=\"https:\/\/de.euronews.com\/2026\/10\/23\/messermord-marius-eltern-furchten-einstufung-tater-vermindert-schuldfahig\">EuroNews<\/a> in October that they did not think the suspect would be found fully responsible for the murder of their son. This was a murder for us, and he should be convicted as a murderer,\u201d said Elke Dick.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Elke Dick is involved with the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, which has been highly responsible for Germany\u2019s immigration crisis. In fact, the migrant who murdered their son came in under Angela Merkel\u2019s tenure in 2017 and was never deported. She stated that she received hostility for her role in the party from those who said she \u201cdeserved\u201d what happened to her son.<\/p>\n<p>The father questioned why the CDU does not at least work with the AfD on certain key issues, telling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welt.de\/politik\/deutschland\/plus6a6c2fbdc26c977db24760f3\/der-fall-marius-dick-22-wie-viele-sollen-denn-noch-sterben.html\">Welt<\/a>: \u201cThe AfD has so many voters \u2013 they\u2019re all supposed to be evil? We don\u2019t talk to them? Even if we disagree, we still have to work together. You have to look for majorities to find majorities. This also means sitting down at a table with the AfD and talking about overlaps. Please do something! That\u2019s not possible; that\u2019s against the will of the people. The politicians have sworn an oath: \u2018For the good of the German people.\u2019 People only ever talk about the AfD, but not with it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elke also described the first moments of horror when she learned of her child\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThomas was already waiting for me at the door. That was strange. When I came into the apartment, I saw the police officers and the chaplains. My husband said to me: \u2018Marius is dead.\u2019 I collapsed in front of the kitchen and all I could do was scream: \u2018My child, my child, my Marius, this can\u2019t be.\u2019 A world collapses inside you; it tears your heart out,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>A number of German commentators point to what seems to be a trend involving foreigners killing victims in Germany and then being sent to psychiatric facilities instead of prison. Columnist Anabel Schunke wrote on X about the murder: \u201cJust for the record: A state that shoves almost every foreign knife-wielding thug into a psychiatric ward instead of deporting them back to their home-country shitholes is no longer capable of delivering justice through punishment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe go-to main argument from the left is always: Yeah, but they should be tried here and serve their sentences here, otherwise they\u2019d just pose a danger back home. But feeding these people here with our tax dollars in the loony bin even after such a bestial crime\u2014that\u2019s totally fine,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"de\">Marius M\u00f6rder ist also, wie so viele Messerstecher vor ihm, schuldunf\u00e4hig. Das affige Hauptargument von Linken ist ja immer: Ja, aber die sollen ja hier verurteilt werden und hier ihre Strafe absitzen, sonst w\u00fcrden sie ja in ihrer Heimat eine Gefahr darstellen. Aber dass wir diese Leute hier nach so einer bestialischen Tat auch noch mit unseren Steuergeldern in der Klapse durchf\u00fcttern &#8211; das geht klar. Und auch zu dem Argument, dass Klappse ja oft schlimmer sei als Gef\u00e4ngnis: Ich m\u00f6chte nur mal daran erinnern, dass der somalische M\u00f6rder von Dr. Joachim T\u00fcncher nach kurzer Zeit Freigang aus der Psychiatrie bekommen hat und nach wenigen Jahren entlassen wurde. Mit Medikamenten werden solche Typen n\u00e4mlich schnell f\u00fcr ungef\u00e4hrlich erkl\u00e4rt. Das ist keine Strafe. Das ist ein verdammter Witz. Dann kann man ihnen auch gleich eine Briefmarke auf den Arsch kleben und sie nach Hause verfrachten. Es gibt hier so oder so keine angemessene Strafe f\u00fcr diese Subjekte. Weil unser Rechtsstaat nicht f\u00fcr Barbaren aus solchen L\u00e4ndern ausgelegt ist, sondern f\u00fcr Manfred, der 2 Mark 80 Steuern hinterzogen hat. Was die Altparteien diesem Land angetan haben, wird nie wieder gut zu machen sein. Marius ist tot. Marius kommt nicht wieder. Er war ein wertvolles Mitglied dieser Gesellschaft. Daf\u00fcr zahlen wir jetzt f\u00fcr seinen M\u00f6rder mit IQ kurz oberhalb der Raumtemperatur die Unterbringung. With meds, these types get declared harmless pretty quickly. That\u2019s not punishment. That\u2019s a goddamn joke.
