{"id":332558,"date":"2026-10-29T14:48:52","date_gmt":"2026-10-29T14:48:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=332558"},"modified":"2026-10-29T14:48:52","modified_gmt":"2026-10-29T14:48:52","slug":"iran-hijacks-us-spy-drone-over-strait-of-hormuz-lands-uav-intact","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=332558","title":{"rendered":"Iran Hijacks US Spy Drone over Strait of Hormuz, Lands UAV Intact"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Fars News Agency \u2013 Oct 29, 2026<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it had detected an MQM-170 reconnaissance drone over the Western part of the strait, seized control of its guidance systems, and brought it down safely.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Thursday, the IRGC Navy\u2019s public relations office said its electronic warfare fighters had successfully carried out an offensive electronic warfare operation, identifying the drone before taking control of its guidance and control systems.<\/p>\n<p>The IRGC Navy successfully brought the drone to the ground intact, it added.<\/p>\n<p>The statement noted the drone\u2019s mission was to identify Iran\u2019s air defense systems along the Persian Gulf coastline and the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p>The latest capture comes amid a sharp escalation between Iran and the United States over the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world\u2019s most strategically important maritime chokepoints.The Strait of Hormuz has remained under Iranian control amid the standoff.
