{"id":332555,"date":"2026-10-29T06:20:37","date_gmt":"2026-10-29T06:20:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=332555"},"modified":"2026-10-30T07:40:37","modified_gmt":"2026-10-30T07:40:37","slug":"irgc-air-defenses-down-14th-us-mq-1-drone-over-strait-of-hormuz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=332555","title":{"rendered":"IRGC air defenses down 14th US MQ-1 drone over Strait of Hormuz"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Press TV \u2013 Oct 29, 2026<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><strong>The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)\u2019s Aerospace Force has intercepted and destroyed an advanced MQ-1 drone belonging to the US military over the Strait of Hormuz.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Thursday, the IRGC said the aircraft was brought down using the Aerospace Force\u2019s new air-defense system operating under the control of Iran\u2019s Integrated Air-Defense Network.<\/p>\n<p>It added that the drone was destroyed over the eastern part of the Strait of Hormuz, opposite the coastal city of Sirik.<\/p>\n<p>The downing marks the latest in a series of similar interceptions over the Strait of Hormuz in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the IRGC said its air defense forces intercepted and shot down an American MQ-9 Reaper long-endurance drone over the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the Iranian Army said its air defense had shot down a US MQ-1 drone over the strategic Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p>The Army said its air defense forces detected, tracked and targeted the drone in southeastern Iran before striking and destroying it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.presstv.co.uk\/Detail\/2026\/10\/29\/779451\/irgc-air-defenses-destroy-14th-us-mq-1-drone-over-strait-of-hormuz\">Source\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards claim to have shot down another US MQ-9 drone.
