They cost between $100 to $200 million (US) per ship and that price is much higher now because mining of ore and coal requires diesel. Also, refineries have been destroyed or damaged. These take time – sometimes many years – to rebuild.<\/p>\n

When the Iran war resumes there’ll be massive destruction by Iran of desalination plants in surrounding countries, leading to dehydration deaths.<\/p>\n

Fertilizers and plastics come from oil and gas refining. There aren’t any. This impacts farming and food supply – big time. Think starvation, mass migration, with forests and jungles being destroyed to supply the food fertilisers once did.<\/p>\n

Diesel is inflation on wheels. Then there’s interest rates and especially for Americans, economic destruction via tariffs.<\/p>\n
