Surviving Palestinians will be herded into fenced \u201chumanitarian shelters\u201d policed by foreign forces under a plan led by US president Donald Trump\u2019s \u2018Board of Peace\u2019 in the coming weeks, according to an Israeli newspaper.<\/p>\n
This will allow the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) to occupy more of Gaza, \u201cdeepen[ing] its grip on areas beyond the yellow line\u201d, Israel Hayom reported <\/a>on Tuesday.<\/p>\n The plan has been widely condemned on social media, with historian Assal Rad posting on X<\/a>: \u201cThey\u2019re building concentration camps.\u201d<\/p>\n Under the pilot programme, unarmed civilians would be channelled to a first zone in Tel al-Sultan, near Rafah, an area that has been systematically razed by the Israeli military.<\/p>\n Palestinians in the camps will be under the control of \u201cmultinational forces\u201d \u2013 known as the International Stabilisation Force (ISF) \u2013 from the Board of Peace as a condition of receiving food and aid.<\/p>\n Board of Peace officials have pledged that no concrete will be brought in for the reconstruction of Gaza in those areas, according to Israel Hayom.<\/p>\n One base for the foreign forces has already been built, and the Board of Peace has \u201cbegun identifying sites\u201d for the establishment of large logistics warehouses for regulating the camps.<\/p>\n Israel Hayom described the plan as a \u201cpincer movement\u201d, with the IDF \u201cbiting off\u201d more areas under Hamas control and the Board of Peace \u201cbiting off\u201d the civilian population from Hamas.<\/p>\n The plan matches leaked documents for a \u201ca surveilled, checkpoint-controlled \u2018planned community\u2019\u201d that\u2019s designed to force Palestinians \u201cinto what amounts to an Israeli panopticon\u201d, Drop Site News reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n Israeli military operations have continued in Gaza despite a \u2018ceasefire\u2019 coming into force in October 2025. Israel has violated the ceasefire thousands of times, killing more than 1,000 Palestinians including children.<\/p>\n
