the report read.<\/p>\n<p>According to the source, the interception was carried out &#8220;through the launch of an air defense missile at the drone,&#8221; it added.<\/p>\n<p>Fars News Agency, meanwhile, cited its correspondent as reporting the interception by the Islamic Republic&#8217;s integrated air defense system.<\/p>\n<p>The defense system, the agency noted, confronted the aircraft through air defense apparatus deployed near the cities of Jam and Kangan in Bushehr Province.<\/p>\n<p>The hostile aircraft was confronted &#8220;over the waters of the Persian Gulf,&#8221; it stated.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Search operations to locate the wreckage of the aircraft are ongoing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The province, which hosts the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, also came under multiple assaults throughout the United States&#8217;
