Iran threatened on Monday it would respond with \u201cfull strength\u201d to any attack, after Donald Trump warned \u201cthere won\u2019t be anything left of them\u201d if they fail to rush through a deal to end the war.<\/p>\n

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said Tehran is continuing to \u201cpursue diplomacy with seriousness,” but that the Islamic Republic “will not be subdued by contradictory behavior and threats from the opposing side.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are fully prepared for every scenario,\u201d he said, warning that, \u201cin the event of any reckless action we will respond with full strength, and I assure you that our armed forces will definitely have new ‘surprises’ for the enemy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Donald Trump had urged on his Truth Social platform that the \u201cclock is ticking\u201d to end the war, as peace talks appear to have stalled.<\/p>\n

Iran is understood to have relayed its latest peace offer to the United States via Pakistan, although a Pakistani source said both sides \u201ckeep changing their goalposts\u201d.<\/p>\n

Marjorie Taylor Greene has said there would be \u201cpolitical revolution in\u201d the U.S. if President Trump <\/a>deploys American soldiers in Iran.<\/p>\n

It is unclear what exactly prompted the former Republican representative and one-time Trump ally to issue the warning, though reports indicate the US and Israel are preparing for renewed fighting amid the fragile month-old ceasefire.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you send in U.S. military troops into Iran, there is going to be a political revolution in America. WE. ARE. DONE. We said no more foreign wars and we meant it,\u201d said Greene in a Sunday afternoon post on X. \u201cThe coalition will unite and be unstoppable. I\u2019ll make sure of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEnd this war. It\u2019s stupid,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

In Trump\u2019s latest social media outburst on Sunday towards Tehran<\/a>, he warned that the \u201cclock is ticking\u201d as peace negations between the U.S. and Iran stall.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won\u2019t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE,\u201d Trump wrote on Truth Social.<\/p>\n

The president last week rejected Iran\u2019s response to Washington\u2019s latest peace proposal as \u201ctotally unacceptable\u201d after Tehran requested separate nuclear talks from peace negotiations.<\/p>\n

Greene, who left Congress in January, has repeatedly voiced her opposition to the U.S. war against Iran, directly challenging the \u201cmental state\u201d of President Trump shortly after the conflict began.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to say, what is happening to the man that I supported, you supported, the man that denounced what happened in Iraq, the man that said \u2018No more foreign wars,\u2019 \u2018No more regime change?\u2019\u201d Greene told conservative commentator Megyn Kelly two days after the U.S.\u2019s initial strikes February 28.<\/p>\n

\u201cPromised it on the campaign. JD Vance promised it. Tulsi Gabbard promised it, all of them promised it,\u201d she added. \u201cAnd we\u2019re a year in, a year in, and we\u2019re in another f****** war, and we\u2019ve got American troops being killed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greene had once been a close ally of the president and has echoed his claims that the 2020 presidential election was \u201cstolen\u201d.<\/p>\n

Since last year, however, the former representative for Georgia’s 14th congressional district has broken with Trump over several domestic and foreign policy positions, including his decision to launch airstrikes on Iran last June, his support for Israel during the war in Gaza, and insufficient regulation of big tech.<\/p>\n
