US Vice President JD Vance has raised concerns about whether the Pentagon is giving an accurate picture of the Iran war to President Donald Trump, according to a report in The Atlantic<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The conflict has been publicly described by US officials as a major success<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has often said that the US military has dealt a severe blow to Iranian forces, claiming major damage to its air force, navy and defence systems while maintaining that American weapons stockpiles remain strong.<\/p>\n
