The International Energy Agency (IEA) has just published a new report that claims to identify ten \u201cdemand-side measures\u201d<\/em> which will \u201calleviate the economic impacts [of the] war in the Middle East.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Titled \u201cSheltering From Oil Shocks\u201d<\/a>, it is notionally aimed at \u201ceasing oil price pressures on consumers\u201d<\/em>, but it reads like a page straight out of the Great Reset playbook.<\/p>\n

Its ten recommendations include old favourites like working from home, limiting air travel and even phasing out gas cookers\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026targeted actions can ease pressure on fuels that are particularly constrained. A reduction in air travel<\/strong> where alternatives exist can significantly lower demand for jet fuel. Measures to shift LPG use away from transport and towards essential applications, such as cooking, can help protect vulnerable households. At the same time, encouraging the uptake of alternative clean cooking solutions where feasible can reduce reliance on LPG<\/strong> and avoid a return to more polluting fuels that harm people\u2019s health.<\/p>\n

In full, their recommendations are\u2026<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Work from home where possible.<\/li>\n
  2. Reduce highway speed limits by at least 10 km\/h<\/li>\n
  3. Encourage public transport<\/li>\n
  4. Alternate private car access to roads in large cities on different days<\/li>\n
  5. Increase car sharing and adopt efficient driving practices<\/li>\n
  6. Efficient driving for road commercial vehicles and delivery of goods<\/li>\n
  7. Divert LPG use from transport<\/li>\n
  8. Avoid air travel where alternative options exist<\/li>\n
  9. Where possible, switch to other modern cooking solutions<\/li>\n
  10. Leverage flexibility with petrochemical feedstocks and implement short-term efficiency and maintenance measures<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If a lot of those sound familiar, well, that\u2019s because they were suggested inclusions in \u201cClimate Lockdowns\u201d<\/a>, those totally imaginary things that conspiracy theorists just made up<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    Let\u2019s take a deeper look at a couple.<\/p>\n

    Number 4<\/strong> is especially fascinating. What exactly does \u201calternate private car access in large cities on different days\u201d<\/em> mean? Because at first glance it doesn\u2019t look like correct English.<\/p>\n

    The report explains:<\/p>\n

    Private vehicles are allowed into designated zones in large cities on specific days only based on their number plate. Vehicles with odd-numbered plates have access on different weekdays than those with even-numbered plates. This measure reduces traffic congestion, engine idling and fuel-intensive stop-and-go driving. It also reduces local air pollution and improves attractiveness of the city centre for the use of bicycles or walking.<\/p>\n

    \u2026but notably doesn\u2019t actually elucidate how this would be enforced.<\/p>\n

    It would require CCTV with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)<\/a> tech to scan all traffic, and presumably automatically issue fines to anyone with an even-numbered car who dares to drive on a Thursday.<\/p>\n

    It\u2019s an idea pulled from the plans for \u201c15-minute cities\u201d.<\/p>\n

    Number 5<\/strong> recommends \u201cincreasing car sharing\u201d<\/em>, which rather echoes calls to end private car ownership, doesn\u2019t it? That\u2019s a policy which the WEF has been nudging along for the last ten years<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    There\u2019s number 8<\/strong>, \u201cAvoid air travel where alternative options exist\u201d<\/em>, number 1<\/strong> \u201cWork from home where possible\u201d<\/em> or number 9<\/strong>, \u201cswitching to modern cooking solutions\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

    Not one of which is a new policy or original idea; they all already existed as mooted solutions for totally different problems<\/em>.<\/p>\n

    The supplementary section \u2013 \u201cTargeted consumer support\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 suggests extra benefits be paid to low-income households to cover their energy bills (a sort of proto-UBI), as well as boosting electric vehicle uptake and replacing old heating systems with heat pumps.<\/p>\n

    In short, what we have here is a \u201cclimate lockdown\u201d by any other name. Perhaps a trial run.<\/p>\n

    This really should end the argument for anyone as yet unconvinced that the war in Iran is being used to push through the ever-familiar \u201cGreat Reset\u201d agenda.<\/p>\n

    And in case you\u2019re not seeing where we go from here, recall the (totally spurious) reports of \u201cnature recovering\u201d <\/a>during the Covid lockdowns?<\/p>\n

    That\u2019s<\/em> what comes next.<\/p>\n

    We\u2019re subjected to these measures as an \u201cemergency management\u201d system, and then \u2013 shockingly \u2013 we\u2019re told that it\u2019s really helped the environment and reduced pollution and CO2 and slowed warming and\u2026whatever else they want to say.<\/p>\n

    They won\u2019t be constrained by reality; that\u2019s the benefit of just making stuff up.<\/p>\n

    Once again, we\u2019re being asked to believe that, by total chance, what we need to do<\/em> is what all governments on Earth already wanted to do<\/em>.<\/p>\n

    It\u2019s really shocking how often that happens.<\/p>\n
