{"id":324591,"date":"2026-03-12T07:50:46","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T07:50:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=324591"},"modified":"2026-03-13T08:41:37","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T08:41:37","slug":"gop-senator-john-kennedy-publicly-apologizes-for-u-s-missile-that-hit-iranian-elementary-school-killing-175-school-girls-and-their-teachers-on-first-day-of-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=324591","title":{"rendered":"GOP Senator John Kennedy publicly apologizes for U.S. missile that hit Iranian elementary school, killing 175 school girls and their teachers on first day of war"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Aftermath of a missile strike on a girls school in southern Iran<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">President Trump and his Secretary of War Pete Hegseth tried to blame the deadly missile strike on Iran and still haven&#8217;t acknowledged the truth of who was responsible for the carnage.<\/h3>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Leo Hohmann \u2013 Leo\u2019s Newsletter March 11, 2026<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>U.S. Senator John Kennedy, Republican of Louisiana, apologized on Tuesday for a strike on an all-girls school in southern Iran that killed 175 school girls and their teachers and said it was a \u201cmistake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked on March 7 about the devastating missile strike killing the Iranian children, President Donald Trump, without having any information to back it up, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2026\/03\/07\/trump-blames-iran-girls-school-bombing\/89044150007\/\">blamed it on Iran<\/a><\/strong>, claiming that Tehran\u2019s missiles are \u201cvery inaccurate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cIn my opinion, based on what I\u2019ve seen, that was done by Iran,\u201d Trump said, adding that Iran was \u201cvery inaccurate\u201d with their munitions targeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cThey have no accuracy whatsoever,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was done by Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here he is, along with War Secretary Pete Hegseth, lying through his teeth.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/n9xVjphYlYs?si=nWfaKvBfGZzyAu9I\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n&#8212;<\/div>\n<p>But now we hear the facts. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/graphics\/2026\/03\/10\/tomahawk-missile-us-iran-girls-school\/89087551007\/\">Video and satellite evidence<\/a><\/strong>, and an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2026\/03\/11\/nx-s1-5744981\/pentagon-iran-missile-school-hegseth\">initial assessment from the Pentagon<\/a><\/strong>, are that it was indeed a U.S. Tomahawk missile that hit the school and killed 175 innocent civilians.<\/p>\n<p>The Associate Press <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/iran-war-strike-school-minab-us-3f55b6ca193a3295bef5735a45a06368\">reports<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cNew footage shows what an expert investigative group says is likely an American Tomahawk missile hitting a compound in southern Iran, meters from the school where a deadly unclaimed blast killed over 165 people at the start of the war raging in the Mideast.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cIt comes as <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/iran-minab-girls-school-airstrike-us-israel-c3095dc9729881b567277a1c5c47efb2\">mounting evidence<\/a> points to U.S. culpability for the Feb. 28 strike, which hit a school adjacent to a Revolutionary Guard base in Minab, Iran, in the country\u2019s southern Hormozgan Province. Experts interviewed by The Associated Press, citing satellite image analysis, say the school was probably struck amid a quick succession of bombs dropped on the compound.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Senator Kennedy, appearing Tuesday on CNN, publicly apologized on behalf of America for the missile strike, which killed dozens of little girls between the ages of 7 and 12. Several teachers, along with a mother who was at the school with her 3-month-old baby in her arms, were also killed.<\/p>\n<p>Tomahawk missiles struck the <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/international\/5773382-trump-accuses-iran-school-bombing\/\">Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school<\/a> in Minab in southern Iran on February 28, the first day of the war, when the U.S.-Israel launched surprise strikes.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, Senator Kennedy is the only American holder of a high office who is willing to do the right thing and apologize.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, we\u2019re investigating, but I\u2019m not going to hide behind that,\u201d Kennedy said on <em>The Arena<\/em> with CNN\u2019s Kasie Hunt. \u201cI think that it was a terrible, terrible mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe investigation may prove me wrong, I hope so. The kids are still dead. But I think it was a horrible, horrible mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Louisiana Republican noted the strike likely \u201cwasn\u2019t intentional,\u201d apologized for it and then called it \u201cthe sort of thing Russia does.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The senator had to get his dig in on Russia, which is so predictable from him, but we\u2019ll forgive him for that since he at least had the courage to do what the American Commander-in-Chief has so far failed to do, which is take responsibility for a U.S. military action that went awry. Let\u2019s hope we don\u2019t find out down the road that this school was hit due to targeting decisions that were made by artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd when you make a mistake, you ought to admit it,\u201d Kennedy added later. \u201cMost people understand no one\u2019s perfect, but I don\u2019t think our men and women who are fighting for us did it intentionally. I\u2019ll never believe that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NPR <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2026\/03\/11\/nx-s1-5744981\/pentagon-iran-missile-school-hegseth\">reported<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cIf the U.S. role in the attack is confirmed, it would rank among the military\u2019s most deadly incidents involving civilians in decades.
