{"id":324576,"date":"2026-03-12T07:53:33","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T07:53:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=324576"},"modified":"2026-03-14T07:00:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-14T07:00:04","slug":"it-seems-netanyahu-has-trump-in-over-his-head","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=324576","title":{"rendered":"It seems Netanyahu has Trump in over his head"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Paul Craig Roberts \u2013 paulcraigroberts.org March 11, 2026<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked at a news conference on March 9 if in view of the lack of success of the Israeli-American missile and air strikes to defeat Iran, now that Trump was talking about boots on the ground could America look forward to a draft?\u00a0 Leavitt\u2019s answer was that the President keeps all options on the table.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t think that this is going to go down well with American mothers and fathers.\u00a0 Yes, they are brainwashed about \u201cIsrael\u2019s right to defend itself,\u201d and \u201cyou can\u2019t be an American if you don\u2019t love Israel,\u201d\u00a0 but that was before their sons faced conscription to go to war and to die for Israel.<\/p>\n<p>So far we have only had propaganda, not factual news, about the success for lack thereof of the Israeli-American attack on Iran.\u00a0 But all the indications are that the war has not gone as Trump expected. My own opinion at this time is that the only way Trump can avoid defeat in Iran is to nuke Iran, which I am convinced was Netanyahu\u2019s intent from the beginning. Netanyahu will be telling Trump, \u201cYou promised victory.
