On X, I called it the tagline of the movie they\u2019re about to play:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cNobody is above the law\u201d is the tagline of the awful movie they\u2019re about to play out across our screens. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iYoMeabbzf\">https:\/\/t.co\/iYoMeabbzf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 OffGuardian (@OffGuardian0) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OffGuardian0\/status\/2024437735239418332?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 19, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And the media lost no time in proving my point. Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/news\/politics\/top-minister-quizzed-andrew-judge-36761819\">echoed it<\/a> in an interview of her own. Everyone from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2026\/2\/19\/ex-prince-andrews-arrest-spurs-epstein-accountability-calls-from-uk-to-us\">Al Jazeera<\/a> to the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/opinion\/article\/3344226\/arrest-shows-no-one-above-law-not-even-former-british-prince\"> South China Morning Post<\/a> has taken up the cry.<\/p>\n<p>In one of those curiously timed coincidences, the UN actually used the same exact phrase just a day before Sir Keir:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">UN experts concerned that flawed \u2018Epstein Files\u2019 disclosures undermine accountability for crimes against women &amp; girls.<\/p>\n<p>The files have shocked the conscience of humanity and raised terrifying implications of the level of impunity for such crimes.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7jxf9lm3oH\">https:\/\/t.co\/7jxf9lm3oH<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/enKUC57Ftv\">pic.twitter.com\/enKUC57Ftv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 UN Special Procedures (@UN_SPExperts) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UN_SPExperts\/status\/2023419167597347028?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 16, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then there\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/ideas\/2026\/02\/prince-andrew-arrest-esptein-corruption\/686047\/?taid=699dc782eb9a69000136afd9&amp;utm_campaign=the-atlantic&amp;utm_content=edit-promo&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter\">this long article<\/a> in the Atlantic, I won\u2019t sport with your intelligence by relating the bulk of the text, we concern ourselves only with the concluding paragraph:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The former Prince Andrew acted as he did because he lived in a world in which someone like him never faced consequences. That isn\u2019t true anymore.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the narrative in a nutshell. The system is fair and treats everyone the same. Old Guard bad, corruption being rooted out, accountability for the old boys club. Like #MeToo on crack.<\/p>\n<p>In this vein we have the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/live\/cew8jde9pxqt\">arrest of Peter Mandelson<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation, and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/bHQnJ\">alleged attempted suicide<\/a>, of Norway\u2019s former PM Thorbj\u00f8rn Jagland<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/5b1f5d7e-a9e8-4ed9-ac0b-3b8cc170a73c\">resignation of World Economic Forum chief B\u00f8rge Brende<\/a> over his \u201cEpstein links\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cretirement\u201d of Harvard President and former Treasury Secretary of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cn716zkyddeo\">Larry Summers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even stuff as small as the revelation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/maryroeloffs\/2026\/02\/25\/bill-gates-admits-to-affairs-says-he-never-did-anything-illicit-with-epstein\/\">Bill Gates\u2019 affairs<\/a> with a couple of Russian women.<\/p>\n<p>None of those latter four come close to actual arrests, of course. And the story is very much that while the UK (and Europe in general) are willing to act on Epstein, the US is lagging behind.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why you get absurd headlines like this, in <a href=\"https:\/\/inews.co.uk\/news\/world\/epsteins-ghost-britains-elites-trump-fears-same-us-4253402?utm_campaign=social_x_posts&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=x\">the I<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Epstein\u2019s ghost has brought down Britain\u2019s elites. Trump fears the same in the US<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBringing down Britains elites\u201d, in this instance, meaning the staged arrest of the least important member of an increasingly irrelevant Royal family, and chalking another scandal up on Mandelson\u2019s long and distinguished list, but the story is clear: The US has some catching up to do.<\/p>\n<p>Over on BlueSky, the foam-cornered play area of the internet, <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/rosen.senate.gov\/post\/3mfk5owaby22l\">Senator Jacky Rosen<\/a> was doing her part to tell that story\u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt aligncenter size-full wp-image-323776\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/senator-rosen-andrew-tweet.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"607\" height=\"211\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/senator-rosen-andrew-tweet.jpg 607w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/senator-rosen-andrew-tweet-480x167.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 607px, 100vw\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Combine these low-level narrative reinforcements with column\u2019s such as this in the Guardian from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2026\/feb\/22\/andrew-mountbatten-windsor-epstein-us-men\">omni-outraged Arwa Mahdawi<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Prominent Britons are facing a reckoning over Epstein. In the US, not so much<\/p>\n<p>And <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2026\/feb\/24\/epstein-buddies-andrew-mountbatten-windsor-peter-mandelson-arrested\">perma-smug Marina Hyde<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">So Epstein buddies Andrew and Mandelson have been arrested in the UK. And in the US?
