Israel\u2019s government is funding an advertisement campaign in Britain to attack medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF), Declassified<\/em> can reveal.<\/p>\n

MSF has provided crucial medical care to Palestinians throughout the Gaza genocide, with international and local staff working in hospitals across the besieged strip.<\/p>\n

Transparency data shows<\/a> the Israeli Government Advertising Agency is paying for an advert to appear as the top result on Google when users search for information about the charity.<\/p>\n

The advert leads to an official Israeli report accusing MSF of \u201cgrave misconduct\u201d in Gaza and behaviour \u201cthat contradicts the fundamental ethics of international humanitarian action\u201d.<\/p>\n

The propaganda offensive comes as Israel seeks to limit the work of MSF and other humanitarian organisations in Gaza as part of its wider dismantling of life-saving services for Palestinians.<\/p>\n

MSF\u2019s registration to operate in Gaza and the West Bank has not been valid since the start of January and the organisation says it might be forced to cease operations by 1 March.<\/p>\n

Patients in Gaza have responded to the news with horror, with one saying<\/a>: \u201cIf MSF stops working, people will lose their lives\u201d.<\/p>\n

MSF said<\/a> in a statement: \u201cWe remain committed to providing assistance to Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and call on the Israeli authorities to reverse their decision\u2026 and to put in place acceptable operating conditions\u201d.<\/p>\n

The UK government is reportedly mulling<\/a> reversing its arms suspensions to Israel, despite one of the core reasons for those suspensions being Israel\u2019s restriction of humanitarian aid into Gaza.<\/p>\n

Israel\u2019s efforts to propagandise the British public about MSF therefore appears to be in direct conflict with UK policy, and might reinforce arguments to keep the suspensions in place.<\/p>\n

Declassified<\/em> has asked the Israeli government to comment.<\/p>\n

Paid advertisement<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Israel\u2019s advert has been appearing on Google in Britain when users search for \u201cDoctors Without Borders\u201d, \u201cM\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res\u201d, or \u201cMSF\u201d.<\/p>\n

The advert leads to a report on the \u201cSystematic Conduct of M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res\u201d, authored by an \u201cInter-Ministerial Team\u201d in Israel and dated December 2025.<\/p>\n

The report accuses MSF of authoring \u201cofficial publications\u2026 that far exceed the bounds of legitimate criticism\u201d, constituting \u201ca deliberate campaign to undermine and deny the legitimacy of the State of Israel\u201d<\/p>\n

This forms part of a \u201csystematic pattern aimed at depriving Israel of its fundamental right to exist as a sovereign state and as a member of the international community\u201d, the report says.<\/p>\n

The Israeli government is particularly incensed by MSF\u2019s use of the terms \u201cgenocidal war\u201d, \u201cgenocide\u201d, and \u201cethnic cleansing\u201d.<\/p>\n

It argues that \u201cthese terms do not constitute legitimate criticism of policy or military actions; rather, they attribute to the State of Israel an intent to systematically destroy a population\u201d.<\/p>\n

The UN Commission of Inquiry recently concluded<\/a> that Israeli forces have been \u201cdeliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about the destruction of the Palestinians in whole or in part\u201d.<\/p>\n

Israel\u2019s report further alleges \u201cindications of links\u201d between MSF and \u201cterrorist organizations\u201d in Gaza including Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).<\/p>\n

Similar accusations were made by Israel in 2023 in order to remove international support for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, whose headquarters in East Jerusalem were bulldozed<\/a> earlier this week.<\/p>\n

MSF said: \u201cBy accusing MSF, as well as other NGOs, of not cooperating and creating smear campaigns against aid organisations, Israel is using unfounded allegations to arbitrarily restrict access to critical care for Palestinians and limit witnessing from independent organisations working on the ground\u201d.<\/p>\n

Francesca Albanese<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The transparency data published by Google shows that the Israeli government has also been paying for adverts in Britain attacking UN special rapporteur Francesca Albanese.<\/p>\n

Albanese, one of the most outspoken advocates for Palestinian rights, recently told <\/a>Declassified <\/em>that UK ministers \u201cmust be investigated\u201d over their role in the Gaza genocide.<\/p>\n

This advert linked to an Israeli report<\/a> saying \u201cAlbanese\u2019s conduct\u2026 is fundamentally incompatible with the responsibilities and ethical standards of her mandate\u201d.<\/p>\n

It continued: \u201cAlbanese has repeatedly violated the norms of impartiality, universality, and professional integrity that are foundational to her UN mandate\u201d.<\/p>\n

Other publicity campaigns by Israel aimed at British audiences have sought to discredit UNRWA as well as the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), which declared<\/a> famine in Gaza last August.<\/p>\n

It is unclear how much the Israeli government has paid for the advertisements targeting British audiences, including the one attacking Doctors Without Borders.<\/p>\n

Recent reports found Israel spent<\/a> US$50m \u201con a deal with platforms such as Google\u201d and other social media platforms \u201cto deny famine in Gaza\u201d, targeting several countries across Europe.<\/p>\n

Declassified<\/em> previously exposed<\/a> how the Israeli government was paying social media companies to share videos in Britain which were designed to cultivate support for its war on Gaza.<\/p>\n
