Iran\u2019s ambassador to the United Nations says the United States is responsible for turning peaceful demonstrations in Iran into unrest and violence, according to a letter submitted to the UN Security Council.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Amir Saeid Iravani, Tehran\u2019s permanent representative to the UN, said in the letter that Washington bears direct responsibility for \u201criots and violent acts\u201d in Iran.<\/p>\n

He condemned the United States\u2019 \u201cillegal behavior\u201d and its coordination with Israel to interfere in the Islamic Republic\u2019s internal affairs.<\/p>\n

Iravani said such interference is carried out through \u201cthreats, incitement, and deliberate encouragement of violence,\u201d to undermine Iran\u2019s stability and security.<\/p>\n

He said Tehran condemns the destabilizing measures that violate the UN Charter.<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) issued a separate statement earlier, saying the United States and Israel have continued hostile policies toward Iran following a recent 12\u2011day war.<\/p>\n

The council said the Iranian people would counter sabotage efforts through national unity and solidarity.<\/p>\n

Addressing the unrest in several cities, the SNSC said no country would tolerate insecurity imposed from the outside and insisted that the presence of security forces was aimed at restoring order.<\/p>\n

It warned that security agencies and the judiciary would show \u201cno leniency\u201d toward the rioters and vandals.<\/p>\n

The statement also pointed out that Israel has been waging \u201chybrid warfare\u201d against Iran since the June war, saying recent protests, sparked by public frustration over market instability, were turned into security disturbances through foreign \u201cguidance and planning.\u201d<\/p>\n

The SNSC said that recent remarks by US President Donald Trump in support of the rioters exposed a joint strategy by Washington and Tel Aviv to create instability inside Iran.<\/p>\n
