The UK\u2019s Covid Enquiry has published its second report, and its conclusion is as relevant as it is predictable.<\/p>\n

To quote Sky News:<\/p>\n

The response of the UK\u2019s four governments to the pandemic was a \u201crepeated case of too little, too late\u201d and tens of thousands of lives could have been saved had lockdowns been introduced faster, the COVID-19 Inquiry has found<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all they were ever going to say, and it\u2019s all we really need to know.<\/p>\n

The full report is over seven hundred and fifty pages across two volumes, a Tolstoy novel of irrelevance.<\/p>\n

This is the point of formal inquiries, months of quasi-meaningless testimony whose only purpose is to eat up time until the public memory has faded, then lend verisimilitude to the pre-written revisionist conclusion.<\/p>\n

We already know the truth, and it\u2019s a truth too big a for single sentence conclusion, five years after the fact, to rewrite.<\/p>\n

  1. Lockdowns kill people.<\/strong>There is strong evidence that lockdowns \u2013 through social, economic and other public health damage \u2013 are\u00a0deadlier than the alleged \u201cvirus\u201d<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Dr David Nabarro, World Health Organization special envoy for Covid-19, described lockdowns as a \u201cglobal catastrophe\u201d in October 2020:<\/p>\n

    We in\u00a0the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns<\/strong>\u00a0as the primary means of control of the virus[\u2026] it seems we may have a doubling of world poverty by next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition [\u2026] This is a terrible, ghastly global catastrophe.\u201d<\/p>\n

    A UN report from April 2020 warned of\u00a0100,000s of children being killed<\/a>\u00a0by the economic impact of lockdowns, while\u00a0tens of millions more<\/a>\u00a0face possible poverty and famine.<\/p>\n

    Unemployment<\/a>, poverty,\u00a0suicide<\/a>, alcoholism, drug use and other social\/mental health crises are spiking all over the world. While missed and\u00a0delayed surgeries<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0screenings<\/a>\u00a0have already seen increased mortality from heart disease, cancer and other conditions in many countries around the world.<\/p>\n

    A\u00a0World Bank report from June 2021<\/a>\u00a0estimated close to\u00a0100 million people had been plunged extreme poverty by so-called \u201canti-Covid measures\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    As of January 2023, healthcare services the world over are\u00a0still experiencing chaotic backlogs<\/a>\u00a0in treatment and diagnosis. The knock-on effects of lockdown will likely hurt public health for years.<\/p>\n

    Lockdowns didn\u2019t save lives<\/strong>, they weren\u2019t designed to save lives, and more or heavier lockdowns would have been worse not better. That is irrefutable.<\/p>\n

    There are other (equally predictable) findings to discuss.<\/p>\n

    At the press conference announcing the findings<\/a> Baroness Hallett, chair of the inquiry, also hailed the vaccine programme as a \u201cremarkable achievement\u201d.<\/p>\n

    The most absurd claim is that the four governments of the UK \u201cdid not take the pandemic seriously enough until it was too late\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

    That is pure revisionism.<\/p>\n

    This is the reason OffG hasn\u2019t covered the Inquiry much, it\u2019s a movie we\u2019ve seen before heading toward an ending we all saw coming.<\/p>\n

    The end goal was the report, now published. Which will be cited far more than it is ever read, and will be the primary tent-pole argument supporting quicker and harder lockdowns when the next fake \u201cpandemic\u201d hits.<\/p>\n

    Anyway, that\u2019s module two done. There are eight more to go apparently.<\/p>\n

    These \u2018official inquiries\u2019 always help obscure what really happened. In the case of Covid-19, a contrived plandemic became a global health crisis.
