An Afghan national arrested after a dog walker was killed in a triple stabbing entered the UK illegally in the back of a lorry. The Telegraph <\/em>has the story<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A 22 year-old was arrested near Midhurst Gardens in Uxbridge after the attack at 5pm on Monday, the\u00a0Metropolitan Police\u00a0said.<\/p>\n

A 49 year-old man was treated at the scene but died, while another man, aged 45, suffered life-changing injuries. A 14 year-old boy\u2019s injuries were not life-threatening nor life-changing.<\/p>\n

It is understood the Afghan national entered the UK clandestinely on a lorry in 2020 and was granted asylum and leave to remain in 2022.<\/p>\n

The attack is not being treated as terrorism, and detectives are working to establish any relationship between the suspect and the three victims, the Met said.<\/p>\n

Footage posted online appears to show the suspect walking along a residential street, before two police officers sprint after him, one pointing a Taser and shouting \u201cdrop the knife\u201d and \u201cget on the floor\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to residents, a fight had broken out involving the suspect, who was allegedly living as a lodger in the home of the 45 year-old for the past six months.<\/p>\n

Officials said that social media claims that he was being housed in a hotel or any other Home Office accommodation were wrong.<\/p>\n

Witnesses claimed the suspect chased two victims out of the house before the 49 year-old man, who was walking his dog at the time, tried to intervene. They claimed he was then cut across the neck.<\/p>\n

Logan Woolley, 16, who lives on Midhurst Gardens, was watching TV when he saw a person \u201crunning with a knife in his hand, covered in blood\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw him get tasered and another person getting CPR.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said he had seen the victim walking his dog in the mornings and evenings.<\/p>\n

The house where the attack took place had been undergoing renovations for the past few months, he said.<\/p>\n

He had never seen the alleged perpetrator before and believed he had just moved in.<\/p>\n

A witness told the Daily Mail<\/em>: \u201cA local man who was with his dog tried to stop it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was blood everywhere and the paramedics were there for at least 30 minutes trying to save his life. It was absolute carnage and very distressing to see.\u201d<\/p>\n

One man, who lives just a few doors down from the 45 year-old, said the incident had shocked the local community.<\/p>\n

Another local added: \u201cThe dead man is very well known around here. He\u2019s a lovely guy, very gentle and peaceful. He was just trying to help and it\u2019s ended up costing him his life.\u201d<\/p>\n
