{"id":317137,"date":"2025-10-22T07:40:02","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T07:40:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=317137"},"modified":"2025-10-23T05:28:40","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T05:28:40","slug":"german-police-investigate-author-over-tweets-criticising-netanyahu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=317137","title":{"rendered":"German police investigate author over tweets criticising Netanyahu"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>James Jackson \u2013 The Telegraph Oct 19, 2025<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>A German author and politician has been investigated by police over social media posts comparing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/benjamin-netanyahu\/\">Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a> to the Nazis.<\/p>\n<p>J\u00fcrgen Todenh\u00f6fer, a former parliamentarian for the centre-Right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, was raided by Munich police, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The 84-year-old, who left the CDU in 2020 to found The Justice Party, wrote on X: \u201cMr Netanyahu, does your conscience never actually protest when you do to Palestinians the same thing that the cursed Nazis did to the Jews?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Todenh\u00f6fer said police monitored his apartment for weeks before carrying out the raid.<\/p>\n<p>Germany prohibits relativising or trivialising the Holocaust under anti-incitement laws.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Todenh\u00f6fer has been a long-standing critic of Western <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/israel-hamas-war\/\">intervention in the Middle East<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His new party has never won any seats but he is an outspoken critic of Germany\u2019s support for Israel, and has written multiple books about the Islamic State, Afghanistan and Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>The author said he was also investigated for accusing Olaf Scholz, the former chancellor, of treason for supposedly allowing the bombing of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/world-news\/2025\/09\/30\/volodymyr-z-arrest-nord-stream-sabotage-poland-ukraine\/\">Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline<\/a> to Russia.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u2018Prison would be an honour\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cIs there a \u2018thought police\u2019 in Germany again?\u201d Mr Todenh\u00f6fer asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf a prison sentence comes out of this investigation, it will be an honour for me to serve it.
