Remember when sports movies ended with a crowd cheering and the hero celebrating the result of his hard work and dedication? Well, HIM<\/em> is about the exact opposite. It is about an athlete\u2019s slow and agonizing descent into the dark world of the occult elite. And he\u2019s taking all of the us with him.<\/p>\n

HIM<\/em> is yet another Jordan Peele movie (directed by Justin Tipping) that taps directly into the elite\u2019s darkest tendencies. While Get Out<\/em> was all about mind control and dissociation, HIM<\/em> is an orgy of rituals and occult symbolism. And actual orgies. And adrenochrome-type procedures.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s all there. And there\u2019s nothing much else there. There is no character arc, inspiring narrative, or great plot twist \u2013 only semi-possessed people who play their role in a puppet show.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because the movie\u2019s true focus is not its story or characters but the imagery surrounding them. Nearly every scene is peppered with symbols and references that point to specific occult concepts and secret societies.<\/p>\n

All of this can be seen right on the movie\u2019s promotional posters.<\/p>\n

In this poster, the movie\u2019s protagonist poses as Jesus crucified while standing on a pentagram. As we\u2019ll see, the movie constantly juxtaposes Christianity with occult rituals.<\/p><\/div>\n
