To simply blame \u201crising anti-Semitism\u201d doesn\u2019t go far enough. For a more complete and comprehensive explanation we need to ask what\u2019s causing the mounting \u201canti-Semitism\u201d and for that we need look no further than Gaza.<\/p>\n
Of course this doesn\u2019t justify \u201canti-Semitism\u201d in any shape or form but it helps explain the rising tide of anger toward Israel.<\/p>\n
This is also why Starmer\u2019s response to the attack is so nauseatingly hypocritical.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s because under his premiership Britain has supplied ammunition<\/a> and intelligence from surveillance flights<\/a> to the IDF for its operations in Gaza.<\/p>\n This makes UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer complicit in Israel\u2019s genocidal campaign there.<\/p>\n In other words, Starmer is responsible, even if only indirectly, for provoking these terror attacks.<\/p>\n Yet the BBC breathes not a word of Starmer\u2019s culpability. Nor, like the rest of the mainstream media, does it say much about the suspect, Jihad Al-Shamie, a British citizen of Syrian descent who was shot dead by police at the scene. This leaves a lot of unanswered questions.<\/p>\n For example:<\/p>\n Was he on a \u2018terror suspect\u2019 watch list? The BBC doesn\u2019t provide clear answers to these questions. Instead, it devotes much coverage to Starmer’s pledge to protect the Jewish community<\/a>. It’s just a pity he cannot extend the same offer to Gaza.<\/p>\n This is not to dismiss or minimise the deaths of the two killed in Manchester but they are dwarfed by the average daily death toll of around 100 in<\/a> Gaza.<\/p>\n These Palestinians are also victims of \u2018terror\u2019 but we don\u2019t hear so much about them from the BBC because Gaza is off-limits to the international media and the BBC obligingly plays along and doesn’t probe too deeply into the ongoing genocide there.
