He is both a leftist anti-fa agent and a far-right \u201cGroyper\u201d fan of Nick Fuentes.<\/p>\n<p>Others suggest the alleged shooter, regardless of his politics, is just a patsy, and Kirk was killed by Mossad operatives for turning against Israel. People are analyzing video footage minutely looking for bullet paths and possible suspects in the security entourage.<\/p>\n<p>Still others maintain Kirk was never killed at all, and the whole thing is a fake psy-op.<\/p>\n<p>We have yet to receive the \u201cofficial version\u201d from on high but, when we do, you can be sure it won\u2019t satisfy everybody, and debate will rage.<\/p>\n<p>Thus far, there is only one certitude we can take away from the case \u2013 cancel culture is alright, really.<\/p>\n<p>For years, the Republican position has been that leftist \u201ccancel culture\u201d \u2013 ruining lives and careers because of \u201coffensive\u201d social media posts \u2013 is ridiculous and morally wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Not anymore, now massive social media campaigns are launched against anyone who celebrates, minimizes or even fails to adequately mourn the death of Charlie Kirk.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A searchable database of over 20,000 individuals celebrating Charlie Kirk&#8217;s murder will soon be available on our website.<\/p>\n<p>It will be searchable by general location, employer, and industry type. And, indeed, would argue that those people posting videos cheering on the assassin are symptomatic of greater societal problems in various ways (being shocking for engagement, cheapening of human life and general disengagement from reality chief among them), but that doesn\u2019t mean people should be doxed, bullied or fired.<\/p>\n<p>Free speech needs to cover inappropriate jokes and just generally being a bad person.<\/p>\n<p>Someone who used to espouse that belief is Elon Musk\u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt aligncenter size-full wp-image-315413\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/elon-legal-bills-tweet-650x413-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"413\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/elon-legal-bills-tweet-650x413-1.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/elon-legal-bills-tweet-650x413-1-480x305.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 650px, 100vw\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026but that hasn\u2019t stopped him \u2013 or, at least, the person running his X account \u2013 from abandoning his commitment to absolute free speech in favour of the hysterical doxxing of anyone who doesn\u2019t look sad enough.<\/p>\n<p>Other high-profile rightwing talking heads are taking part:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Also, just reported you \ud83d\ude42 everyone else should too. A parallel that is likely anything but accidental.<\/p>\n<p>This culminated, earlier today, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/09\/16\/pam-bondi-first-amendment-hate-speech-prosecution-00566424\">Attorney General Pamela Bondi <\/a>announcing that \u201chate speech has no place in society\u201d:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Pam Bondi now openly admits that the U.S. government will target anyone they label as using \u201chate speech.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She says hate speech is not free speech and has no place in society, especially after what happened to Charlie Kirk. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/tIP6po5vqz\">pic.twitter.com\/tIP6po5vqz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Shadow of Ezra (@ShadowofEzra) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ShadowofEzra\/status\/1967787454158844261?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 16, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>\u201cFreedom of speech doesn\u2019t mean freedom from consequences\u201d<\/em>? <em>\u201cHate speech is not free speech\u201d<\/em>? These are the most absurd tenets of the anti-freedom \u201cliberal\u201d class, suddenly being embraced by the right wing. It\u2019s yet another example of both \u201csides\u201d backing the same broad policies for different reasons.<\/p>\n<p>To complete the gaslighting world-inversion, those same people who would use those arguments to get people fired for racist jokes only two weeks ago, are suddenly bridling at them.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s just like the vaccines. Remember that? When Trump announced Project Warp Speed, and mainstream outlets were publishing warnings <a href=\"https:\/\/slate.com\/technology\/2020\/10\/vaccine-warp-speed-skeptical.html\">about \u201crushed\u201d vaccines<\/a>, only to totally flip when Biden \u201cwon\u201d the 2020 election. They do it this way on purpose.<\/p>\n<p>Republican or Democrat, under the right circumstances, both teams now agree that free speech doesn\u2019t mean the freedom to say things that are morally wrong or factually incorrect or\u2026whatever.
