Monday to crack down on crime and uphold law and order.<\/p>\n<p>&lt;blockquote class=&#8221;twitter-tweet&#8221;&gt;&lt;p lang=&#8221;en&#8221; dir=&#8221;ltr&#8221;&gt;Breaking news: The Trump administration is considering making a military \u201creaction force\u201d for civil unrest that would have 600 troops remain on standby to deploy in as little as one hour, according to internal Pentagon documents reviewed by The Post. &lt;a href=&#8221;https:\/\/t.co\/BGUm7J2sR0&#8243;&gt;https:\/\/t.co\/BGUm7J2sR0&lt;\/a&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&amp;mdash; The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) &lt;a href=&#8221;https:\/\/twitter.com\/washingtonpost\/status\/1955232889597030586?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&#8221;&gt;August 12, 2025&lt;\/a&gt;&lt;\/blockquote&gt; &lt;script async src=&#8221;https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js&#8221; charset=&#8221;utf-8&#8243;&gt;&lt;\/script&gt;<\/p>\n<p>The report suggests that the task force would be split into two groups of 300 troops each, one group being stationed in Arizona and the other in Alabama.
