{"id":313627,"date":"2025-08-14T07:28:43","date_gmt":"2025-08-14T07:28:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=313627"},"modified":"2025-08-16T06:58:40","modified_gmt":"2025-08-16T06:58:40","slug":"netanyahu-says-he-backs-greater-israel-which-includes-parts-of-jordan-and-egypt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=313627","title":{"rendered":"Netanyahu says he backs &#8216;Greater Israel&#8217;, which includes parts of Jordan and Egypt"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Middle East Eye \u2013 Aug 13, 2025<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.middleeasteye.net\/countries\/israel\">Israeli<\/a> Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he feels \u201cvery\u201d connected to the vision of a \u201cGreater Israel\u201d, which includes occupied <a href=\"https:\/\/www.middleeasteye.net\/countries\/palestine\">Palestinian<\/a> territory as well as parts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.middleeasteye.net\/countries\/egypt\">Egypt<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.middleeasteye.net\/countries\/jordan\">Jordan<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.middleeasteye.net\/countries\/syria\">Syria<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.middleeasteye.net\/countries\/lebanon\">Lebanon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During an interview on Tuesday with i24 News, Netanyahu was presented with an amulet depicting \u201ca map of the Promised Land\u201d by interviewer Sharon Gal.<\/p>\n<p>Gal then asked the prime minister whether he felt connected to this vision of Greater Israel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVery much,\u201d Netanyahu replied.<\/p>\n<p>While the amulet itself did not appear on screen, the term \u201cGreater Israel\u201d is widely understood to refer to a far-reaching expansionist vision.<\/p>\n<p>It has previously been used by ultra-nationalist Israelis to claim parts of Jordan, Egypt and Syria &#8211; along with the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip &#8211; as part of a future Israeli state.<\/p>\n<p>During the interview, Netanyahu also described himself as being on a \u201chistoric and spiritual mission\u201d.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF;
