An Israeli minister has rejected reports of famine in Gaza, contradicting UN agencies that warn the territory faces starvation under Israel\u2019s gempcidal\u00a0aid blockade.<\/strong><\/p>\n “There is no famine. There is no humanitarian disaster. And according to the [captives\u2019] testimonies \u2013 there are also no innocents or uninvolved people,” Israeli minister Miri Regev write in a post on her X account on Thursday.<\/p>\n Posting The New York Times <\/em>front page photo showing a Gazan woman cradling her malnourished child, she claimed, \u201c<\/em>We are not waiting for an apology, not from the New York Times, not from ‘Haaretz,’ and not from the hundreds of media outlets that echoed the lie of famine in Gaza.”<\/p>\n Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu previously echoed similar assertions, denying any starvations in Gaza.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is no policy of starvation in Gaza, and there is no starvation in Gaza. We enable humanitarian aid throughout the duration of the war to enter Gaza \u2013 otherwise, there would be no Gazans,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n This comes as UN agencies have said Gaza is currently on the brink of famine, due to the Israeli-imposed blockade on aid.<\/p>\n On Tuesday, the World Food Programme, UNICEF, and the Food and Agriculture Organization warned hat\u00a0“time was running out”\u00a0and Gaza stood\u00a0“on the brink of a full-scale famine.”<\/p>\n Seven more people had died from malnutrition in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, according Gaza Health ministry on Thursday.\u00a0At least 155 Palestinians\u2014including 89 children\u2014have died from starvation.<\/p>\n The youngest in Gaza are bearing the brunt of the starvation crisis triggered by Israel\u2019s months-long blockade, as supplies of baby formula have run out in hospitals and mothers have nothing to feed newborns.<\/p>\n Since launching its genocidal war\u00a0on\u00a0Gaza, Israel has killed more than\u00a060,200 Palestinians and injured more than 146,000, most of them women and children.<\/p>\n
