On June 13 Israel launched what they hoped would be a decapitation strike on Iran, targeting senoir commanders and air defences. The plan was that this would trigger a popular uprising and the collapse of the present regime.<\/p>\n

That proved to be a bad misjudgement. Although shaken by the initial Israeli strikes, Iran quickly recovered to launch a succession of missile counterstrikes that became ever more accurate and destructive.<\/p>\n

After twelve days of repeated Iranian missile salvos, and running dangerously low on interceptor missiles, the Israeli were ready for a ceasefire. Had the war continued it would have run out of interceptor missiles in another 10-12 days<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So Netanyahu had no alternative but a ceasefire.<\/p>\n

However, although it prevented an immediate collapse the ceasefire did not resolve the problem. Indeed the June 13 strike only made matters worse. As far from sparking an internal uprising, as Zionist strategists had hoped, ordinary Iranians rallied around the regime.<\/p>\n

In the process, Netanyahu has shown his true colours and in doing so he\u2019s sealed Israel\u2019s fate.<\/p>\n

Iran is already preparing for another war and having learned from its first direct conflict with Israel it could be even more dangerous.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu has backed Israel into a corner where another, probably more destructive, war with Iran is now unavoidable. To this end, he has enlisted the support of President Trump for the next round that we believe could come within the next month or two.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, if this happens we don’t think that it will be confined to the Middle East. So we would strongly recommend that readers across the world prepare with stocks of tinned or dried foods, warm blankets (for winter) and other basic survivalist supplies. Israel seeks war, Iran in a state of full readiness, informed source tells Press TV<\/strong><\/h1>\n

An informed Iranian source tells Press TV that the Israeli regime wants war to continue and U.S. President Donald Trump appears to be onboard.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The source, speaking on condition of anonymity,\u00a0said on Monday that Iran assesses the upcoming meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump will be no different from their consultations before the 12-day war.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe [Israeli] regime seeks war, and we doubt Trump would oppose it. We, too, are in a state of full readiness,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

The source added that Iran considers all these meetings \u201cto be deceptive\u201d as everything has been agreed upon in advance.<\/p>\n

Referring to a recent US offer of talks with Iran, the source added, \u201cIf Trump believes that after a military strike on our nuclear program, we would trust a diplomatic agreement with them, then he is not a good dealmaker.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUnless something has changed\u2014but we see signs to the contrary,\u201d the source emphasized.<\/p>\n

According to the source, \u201cIn a wartime atmosphere, there is no room for peace. Only after exiting this phase can we think about peace.”<\/p>\n

The Israeli regime launched a blatant and unprovoked act of aggression against Iran on June 13, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders and nuclear scientists in addition to civilians.<\/p>\n

On June 22, the United States officially joined the war against Iran by launching attacks on three nuclear facilities in the country in violation of the United Nations Charter and the Non-Proliferation Treaty.<\/p>\n

On June 24,\u00a0the Israeli regime, isolated and abandoned, declared a unilateral halt to its aggression, announced on its behalf by the US president.<\/p>\n
