Back in January, as part of our \u201cpredicting 2025\u201d series, I wrote that 2025 would be the year of the Lab Leak reveal<\/a>, and that the lab leak theory (LLT) would be \u201cquasi-officially true\u201d by the end of the year:<\/p>\n

Lab leak theory has already come a long way from barely even a fringe idea to an acceptable alternative, but in 2025 we expect it to take the final step, becoming the majority view.<\/p>\n

Less than ten days after we published that article, the CIA officially endorsed the lab leak origins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

By March, the New York Times was bemoaning the fact we were all \u201cbadly mislead about the event that changed out lives\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In April, the Trump White House added this<\/em> to their official website:<\/p>\n

Last week, FBI Deputy Director stated in an interview last week that the FBI was investigating a potential \u201ccover-up\u201d<\/a> of the origins of Covid.<\/p>\n

The New York Times is publishing articles asking \u201cWhy Are So Many People Sure Covid Leaked From a Lab?\u201d<\/a><\/em>, remarking that \u201cthe tide is turning\u201d on Lab Leak Theory, and arguing \u2013 essentially \u2013 that the LLT could be true, but pretending it wasn\u2019t back in 2020 was only responsible to prevent an increase in anti-Chinese sentiment.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, The Telegraph headlined<\/a>:<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time for the truth. Here\u2019s the Covid Paper they don\u2019t want you to read \u2013 All the evidence on the Wuhan lab leak, properly organised<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right, \u201cthey\u201d don\u2019t want you to read it so much that they put it on the front page of The Telegraph. Kind of like giving \u201cthe movie they don\u2019t want you to see\u201d<\/em> a flashy London premiere.<\/p>\n

Four days ago, the Miami Herald reported<\/a> that 57% of Americans now believe the LLT to be true, this is likely as trustworthy as any opinion poll \u2013 viz, not trustworthy at all \u2013 but it\u2019s funny because we predicted\u2026<\/p>\n

in 2025 we expect [Lab Leak Theory] to take the final step, becoming the majority view. That\u2019s a majority<\/em> view, not consensus<\/em>. We\u2019re talking about a cultivated 55-45 split<\/strong>. Because the natural vs lab-leak argument is too valuable ever to end.<\/p>\n

\u2026OK, I was 2% off, but the point stands.<\/p>\n

Anyway, we\u2019ll be cashing in that \u201ctold you so\u201d voucher now.<\/p>\n

Actually, make that two<\/em> \u201ctold you so\u201d vouchers. Because, well, remember what I said last week about Covid?<\/p>\n

\u201cSee, as with everything it\u2019s about balancing the scales. There\u2019s no single narrative anymore, instead the machinery focuses on equally distributing hopium and rage-bait to each side on every issue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, just as The Telegraph is hyping one<\/em> study that \u201cproves\u201d Covid came from a lab, the South China Morning Post is hyping a different study<\/a> that \u201cproves\u201d it didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Choose your side. Pick your proof. And round and round we go.<\/p>\n
