The Gaza government media office says Israel\u2019s 77-day campaign of systematic starvation in the Palestinian territory is a direct result of clear collusion between the Tel\u00a0Aviv regime and the United States.<\/strong><\/p>\n For\u00a077\u00a0consecutive\u00a0days,\u00a0the besieged territory\u00a0has faced a total\u00a0Israeli blockade, with humanitarian aid deliberately withheld,\u00a0the media office said in a statement on Saturday.<\/p>\n \u201cThis deliberate food blockade has led to widespread famine across all areas of Gaza, with 57 confirmed deaths\u2014most of them children\u2014due to hunger and malnutrition.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the statement, mortality rates are on the rise due to diseases linked to food scarcity and the lack of basic essentials.<\/p>\n This \u201cdeliberate and systematic delay in the entry of humanitarian aid and the opening of crossings into the Gaza Strip is a direct result of blatant collusion between\u201d Tel Aviv and Washington.<\/p>\n Gaza\u2019s government, it said, holds US President Donald Trump \u201cdirectly responsible, alongside the occupation, for the continued starvation of our Palestinian people, the blockade of crossings, and the stalling of food and relief aid deliveries.\u201d<\/p>\n It once again warned that the world\u2019s silence, along with the Arab world\u2019s inaction, will only \u201cworsen civilian suffering and grant Israel further cover to complete its crime of starving an entire people.\u201d<\/p>\n Saturday\u2019s statement comes as Arab leaders meeting at an annual summit in Baghdad said that they were trying to reach a\u00a0ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip\u00a0and promised to contribute to the reconstruction of the territory once the war stops.<\/p>\n The summit, attended by Arab leaders including Qatar\u2019s Emir\u00a0Sheikh Tamim\u00a0bin Hamad Al Thani and Egypt\u2019s President\u00a0Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, comes two months after Israel unilaterally broke a ceasefire and resumed its devastating air and ground attacks across the territory.<\/p>\n
