It was not\u2026 was never about Ukraine.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Carlson expressed concern that <em>\u201cnobody will say that out loud \u2013 that we\u2019re overstating our power.\u201d<\/em> He likened the US to a divorced 60-year-old man attempting to woo a 25-year-old woman, oblivious to how absurd and humiliating he appears.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Tucker Carlson on the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We just lost a war with Russia. He emphasized that the scenario of major nuclear conflict is termed \u2018Mutually Assured Destruction\u2019 for a reason.<\/p>\n<p>In response, Carlson referenced a Pentagon assessment indicating that at one point the risk of the Ukraine conflict escalating to nuclear war reached 50%, arguing that any policymaker comfortable with such odds belongs <em>\u201cin prison for the criminally insane.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Senior Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin, have publicly asserted that Moscow will employ all tools at its disposal against what it perceives as an existential threat.
