{"id":305512,"date":"2025-03-22T06:20:53","date_gmt":"2025-03-22T06:20:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=305512"},"modified":"2025-03-24T09:04:40","modified_gmt":"2025-03-24T09:04:40","slug":"uk-7-6-billion-in-welfare-went-to-migrants-in-just-one-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=305512","title":{"rendered":"UK: \u00a37.6 Billion in Welfare Went To Migrants In Just ONE YEAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Steve Watson \u2013 modernity.news March 18, 2025<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><strong>In just one year, over a million migrants in Britain received more than \u00a37.6 billion in welfare,\u00a0an analysis of government data\u00a0has found.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Centre for Migration Control (CMC) estimates \u00a0that around 1,158,000 foreign nationals received universal credit for low income individuals, after collating\u00a0Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) data.<\/p>\n<p>The figures are from 2023 when a supposedly conservative government was in power, and before the current far left Labour government was elected.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">NEW: Over one million migrants are claiming a working-age benefit, costing the British taxpayer billions each year.<\/p>\n<p>It is fundamentally unjust that people can come to the UK and begin claiming benefits after just five years. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/uHVcByMbHv\">https:\/\/t.co\/uHVcByMbHv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Centre for Migration Control (@migrationCtrl) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/migrationCtrl\/status\/1901539673928778070?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 17, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The CMC notes that the numbers will continue to increase given the ever increasing record numbers of foreigners being allowed into the UK.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cImmigration is good for our economy.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zXfJ6bEkhh\">pic.twitter.com\/zXfJ6bEkhh<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Paul Joseph Watson (@PrisonPlanet) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PrisonPlanet\/status\/1901614526203613232?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 17, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Migrants in the UK become eligible for universal credit, and the same benefits as natives, when they are either granted refugee status or indefinite leave to remain in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00a37.6 billion figure doesn\u2019t even include\u00a0support payments and accommodation given to migrants awaiting to hear back on their asylum claims, which totalled another \u00a35.4 billion.<\/p>\n<p>As we\u2019ve highlighted, these \u2018refugees\u2019 get to spend their time in lavish hotels at taxpayer expense.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GdIk-cSXqgg?si=S0FEwsdZn5M5_xu5\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Or they\u2019re sent to quaint villages where residents don\u2019t know what has hit them.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/77vq75E40F4?si=A3H2EejNCgcRmSkt\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The\u00a0Centre for Migration Control also found that 40 nationalities were more likely to receive universal credit than British citizens, with migrants from the Congo most likely to be on benefits, with 445 claims per 1,000 people.<\/p>\n<p>Other nationalities most likely to be on benefits included Iraqis at\u00a0434 per 1,000, Afghans at 414, Algerians at 361, Eritreans at 355, Syrians at 352, Somalians at 336, and Iranians at 334, while only 100 in 1000 actual British people\u00a0claimed universal credit in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Karl Williams, research director at the Centre for Policy Studies, urged that the figures reveal the government need to have a \u201cmuch more selective immigration system that prioritises migrants likely to be substantial net contributors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp called the benefits figures \u201cunacceptable\u201d adding athat it \u201cis immoral that British taxpayers are subsidising nationals of other countries on an industrial scale. No wonder our taxes are so high.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Philip further stated, \u201cResearch shows low-wage migrants actually cost other taxpayers money.
