We need a return to journalistic standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was a newspaper reporter during the 1970’s.\u00a0 I learned that the essence of the story should be in the first paragraph. W-5\u00a0 Who, what, where, why, when.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now that more people are watching videos than reading, this principle has been lost. At least half the time, the title is clickbait. The subject of the title is not addressed\u00a0<\/strong>until deep into the video if at all. Instead of clickbait, the title should reveal the content.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Here are examples of clickbait.<\/strong><\/p>\n

TUCKER JUST LEAKED THE FINAL U.S. GOVERNMENT SECRET THAT NO ONE WAS SUPPOSED TO KNOW!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just say what it is. Give the content in the title. People will keep watching instead of giving up in frustration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

LISTEN TO WHAT THIS CNN GUEST JUST SAID ABOUT THE TRUMP RALLY INCIDENT!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

BREAKING! Stunning New Details in Trump Assassination Plot Exposed | Redacted w Clayton Morris<\/strong><\/p>\n

Guess Who’s Pushing for Peace<\/strong><\/p>\n

TUCKER JUST MADE HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Often the video is a lie. Citizen journalists are replacing the MSM which is now propaganda. But many of these citizen journalists are just trying to get clicks which means money. Often the claim in the title is FALSE. I.e Secret service director resigns. Well she hasn’t yet.\u00a0 Or – Chinese Troops At Ukraine Border<\/a><\/em>\u00a0 \u00a0Lies.<\/p>\n

Whether it’s an article or a video\u00a0people act like\u00a0they’re paid by the word (or click.)<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you can say it in five minutes,\u00a0don’t take ten. And say it right away. Writing is for\u00a0communication, not self-aggrandizement.<\/strong><\/p>\n
