\"\"<\/a>After months of requests from Ukrainian officials, the Biden administration is working toward providing Ukraine<\/a> with powerful new long-range ballistic missiles, according to two U.S. officials.<\/p>\n

Late last year, the U.S. began to supply Ukraine with Army Tactical Missile Systems, known as ATACMS, but so far it has provided only the older medium-range ATACMS. Now, the U.S. is leaning toward sending the longer-range version of the missile, the officials said, which would allow Ukraine to strike farther inside the Russian-held Crimean Peninsula.<\/p>\n

But U.S. funding for arms shipments to Ukraine remains uncertain because of opposition from former President Donald Trump and his Republican allies in Congress. Last week the Senate passed a $95 billion foreign aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. But it\u2019s not clear whether or when the GOP-controlled House will vote on the measure or whether it would survive the vote.<\/p>\n

Well the additional funds for Ukraine were approved and as a direct result more than one hundred sunbathers on a Crimean beach were showered with shrapnel from a ATACMS missile intercept over the weekend. Of those initially injured 4 are now dead.<\/p>\n

The Russians are understandably angry because what occurred in Crimea yesterday was a clear war crime, funded by U.S. taxpayers. Moscow has vowed that there will be consequences.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s anyone\u2019s guess what exactly those consequences will be but the Biden administration is paving the way for outright war with Russia and its allies, China and Iran. Ed<\/p>\n

Ukraine\u2019s deadly attack on Sevastopol: As it happened<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Kiev has struck the Crimean city with US-supplied ATACMS missiles, killing four people and injuring more than 150.<\/p>\n

The city of Sevastopol in Crimea, Russia came under a massive Ukrainian missile attack on Sunday. Kiev\u2019s forces used several US-made ATACMS equipped with cluster warheads in the strike, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.<\/p>\n

Most of the missiles were shot down by Russian air defenses, but one, which was also hit, veered off course and detonated over the city. The missile\u2019s \u201cwarhead explosion mid-air led to numerous civilian casualties,\u201d<\/em> the Defense Ministry said.<\/p>\n

According to the Russian authorities, at least four\u00a0people, including two children, were killed in the incident. More than 120 civilians, including 27 children, were injured.<\/p>\n
