A ranking Israeli official has admitted that the regime has fallen short of realizing all the \u201cstrategic goals\u201d that it has been seeking to achieve through its months-long genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.<\/strong><\/p>\n The remarks were made by Tzachi Hanegbi, chief of the regime\u2019s so-called national security council, on Wednesday, Lebanon\u2019s al-Mayadeen television network reported, citing Israeli media outlets.<\/p>\n “We did not achieve any of the strategic goals of the war,\u201d including nailing \u201cconditions for a prisoner [exchange] deal\u201d and \u201ctoppling\u201d the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, he said.<\/p>\n “They say in the [Israeli forces] that this will take a lot of time, not one year, but years,” Hanegbi added.<\/p>\n The official, meanwhile, noted that the regime had turned the world against itself with its continuous bombing and blocking of humanitarian aid convoys.<\/p>\n The Israeli regime launched the war on Gaza last October following al-Aqsa Storm, a retaliatory operation by the coastal sliver\u2019s resistance movements, during which hundreds were taken captive.<\/p>\n At least 35,709 people, mostly women and children, have been killed in Gaza throughout the brutal military onslaught.<\/p>\n Hanegbi\u2019s remarks did not mark the first time, when an Israeli official would admit the regime\u2019s failure to nail its objectives that also include bringing about forced exodus of Gaza\u2019s entire population to neighboring Egypt.<\/p>\n On Saturday, Ram Ben-Barak, a member of the Israeli parliament who used to serve as deputy director of the regime\u2019s Mossad spy agency, described the war<\/a> as \u201cfutile\u201d and stressed that Tel Aviv was on the losing end.<\/p>\n
