In the past several months, Spielberg has attended multiple strategy sessions, offering his insights on how best to tell the president\u2019s story and highlight Biden\u2019s second-term vision at this summer\u2019s convention as he gears up for a November rematch with former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p><em>Puck<\/em> also reported that Spielberg helped with the 2020 convention, held virtually at the height of COVID-19. The director does not currently have plans to create a film portion for this summer\u2019s events, though he did produce a film for President Obama\u2019s campaign in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>In December, Spielberg was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/politics-news\/president-joe-biden-launches-fundraising-weekend-hollywood-event-1235732034\/\">among the A-listers participating<\/a> at a Biden fundraising event in Los Angeles hosted by interior designer Michael Smith. Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/politics-news\/joe-biden-hollywood-fundraising-tour-record-1235732793\/\">departed<\/a> after a whirlwind few days of schmoozing with an additional $15 million in his campaign war chest.<\/p>\n<p>Spielberg was last in theaters with 2022\u2019s <em>The Fabelmans<\/em>, which was nominated for seven Academy Awards.
