The US military say it has conducted a new missile strike on Yemen, targeting a radar site in the capital Sana\u2019a in response to Yemenis’ pro-Palestinian strikes.<\/strong><\/p>\n The US military claimed that the new attack, which\u00a0was carried out\u00a0at 03:45 a.m. local time (0045 GMT) on Saturday morning, struck a radar site that belonged to Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement.<\/p>\n US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the attack on the radar infrastructure was launched from the US Navy\u2019s US Carney and with the use of Tomahawk missiles.<\/p>\n In a social media post, CENTCOM described the attack as a \u201cfollow-on action\u201d from the joint US-UK missile barrages late on Thursday night, which the US said had targeted Houthi Ansarullah military sites across Yemen.<\/p>\n Yemeni Arabic-language al-Masirah television network reported\u00a0the US missile strike early on Saturday and cited a local corresponded as saying that the aggression had targeted the al-Dailami base in the capital Sana\u2019a.<\/p>\n Early on Friday, the American and British warplanes targeted with 73 missiles five regions of Yemen, including the capital Sana’a and the provinces of Hudaydah, Ta\u2019izz, Hajjah, and Sa\u2019ada, killing at least five people and wounding six others.<\/p>\n Brigadier General Yahya Saree,\u00a0spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said the United States and the United Kingdom bear full responsibility for the \u201ccriminal aggression,\u201d and the attack against the country would not go \u201cunanswered and unpunished.\u201d<\/p>\n Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine\u2019s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7 after the territory\u2019s Palestinian resistance movements carried out a surprise retaliatory attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying entity.<\/p>\n The relentless Israeli military campaign against Gaza has killed at least 23,357 people, most of them women and children. Another 59,410 individuals have been wounded.<\/p>\n Reports revealed that Israeli shipping companies have already decided to reroute their vessels in fear of attacks by Yemeni forces.<\/p>\n Yemeni forces have also launched missile and drone attacks on targets in the Israeli-occupied territories after the regime\u2019s aggression on Gaza.<\/p>\n
