So, what\u2019s with all the fake crying?<\/p>\n

Rachel Maddow pretended to cry about \u201ckids in cages\u201d<\/a>. Matt Hancock pretended to cry about Covid vaccines<\/a>. Sarah Sidner pretended to cry over covid<\/a>. Anderson Cooper pretended to cry about Israel<\/a>, so did John Kirby<\/a>. Van Jones<\/a> pretended to cry after Biden \u201cwon\u201d the 2020 \u201celection\u201d. Adam Schiff<\/a> and Adam Kinzinger<\/a> both pretended to cry about January 6th.<\/p>\n

Don Lemon pretends to cry<\/a> about pretty much everything<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They all do it, and they\u2019re all so bad<\/em> at it.<\/p>\n

And speaking of pretending badly<\/em>, remember those early photos of people in China lying in the street, straight as planks, supposedly killed by \u201cCovid\u201d?<\/p>\n

As if this scary new virus just snuffs you out mid-step to topple backwards flat on the ground in a perfect silent movie pratfall.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s not just \u201cCovid\u201d.<\/p>\n

During the run-up to the 2020 election \u201cpretending badly\u201d was happening everywhere.<\/p>\n

We were told, over and over again, \u201cIt\u2019s going to look like Trump won, but then Biden will win at the last minute because of postal ballots\u201d. <\/em><\/p>\n

And gosh darnit \u2013 they were right!<\/p>\n

Out of nowhere Joe Biden \u2013 \u2018Creepy Uncle Joe\u2019 \u2013 who in early 2020 was obviously the least popular democratic candidate, and even more obviously going senile<\/a> \u2013 is transmogrified into the most<\/em> popular presidential candidate<\/p>\n

of ALL TIME\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026shattering the popular vote records by over 13 million votes<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Such is the power of bad pretending <\/em>, when you just don\u2019t give a crap about plausibility or boring details of historical precedent.<\/p>\n

That was, of course, following Biden\u2019s \u201cmiracle turnaround\u201d in the primaries, where massive defeats in the Iowa and New Hampshire<\/a> left his campaign \u201cteetering on the abyss\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On election night they presented us with badly pretend graphs like this:<\/p>\n

They reported that counting the first 99% of the vote took a few hours, and that counting the last 1% in a couple of swing states took two weeks<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u2026and told us this was all totally normal and that anyone who said otherwise was an \u201celection denier\u201d.<\/p>\n

On January 6th 2021 they showed you an \u201cinsurrection\u201d \u2013 a word that used to mean \u201can armed attempt to seize control of a government by force\u201d<\/em> but now means \u201csome guy in a Buffalo hat putting his feet on Nancy Pelosi\u2019s desk\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Then they told you to be afraid for the fate of a \u201cdemocracy\u201d which their previously blatant election-rigging had just demonstrated does not exist<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Bad pretending at its most brazenly ballsy.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s be honest the airwaves have been saturated with this since at least 2020.<\/p>\n

Remember those lovable doctors and nurses shooting increasingly elaborate music videos<\/a> during a supposedly deadly pandemic.<\/p>\n

Or doctors saying BLM protesters don\u2019t have to stay home<\/a> or social distance because \u201cracism is a worse pandemic\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Blatantly bad pretending.<\/p>\n

The Israel-Hamas war has already produced similar scenes.<\/p>\n

I mean what is this Busby Berkeley 4K drone footage routine<\/a> supposed to be telling us?<\/p>\n
