and that he advised Clinton to cut ties with the sex offender<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Daniel Bates \u2013 Daily Mail.com Dec 27, 2023<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>One of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/bill-clinton\/index.html\"><strong>Bill Clinton<\/strong><\/a>&#8216;s closest aides is among the dozens of people whose links to pedophile <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/jeffrey_epstein\/index.html\"><strong>Jeffrey Epstein<\/strong><\/a> are set to be exposed in the new year.<\/p>\n<p>Documents related to Doug Band, who helped rebuild Clinton&#8217;s image in his post presidency following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/monica-lewinsky\/index.html\"><strong>Monica Lewinsky<\/strong><\/a> scandal, will be released in early January after a ruling by a judge in New York.<\/p>\n<p>Six files related to Band are among the hundreds ordered unsealed by Judge Loretta Preska, a tranche of information which could give fresh insight into the former president&#8217;s dealings with Epstein.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-12881277\/Pedophile-Jeffrey-Epstein-associates-named-unsealed-court-document.html\"><strong>More than 170 people linked to Epstein <\/strong><\/a>are expected to be identified in the file including the late financier&#8217;s associates, friends, victims, and witnesses to his crimes.<\/p>\n<p>They include the managers of Epstein&#8217;s island and a woman who testified at the 2021 trial of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/ghislainemaxwell\/index.html\"><strong>Ghislaine Maxwell<\/strong><\/a>, Epstein&#8217;s madam who is now serving 20 years in jail for recruiting underage girls for him.<\/p>\n<p>Others could include Epstein&#8217;s powerful friends: the pedophile was known to have associated with Clinton, Prince Andrew, and former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/israel\/index.html\"><strong>Israeli<\/strong><\/a> Prime Minister Ehud Barak.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<div id=\"attachment_279070\" style=\"width: 380px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Band-and-Clinton.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-279070\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt wp-image-279070\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Band-and-Clinton.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"370\" height=\"376\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-279070\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Band worked in Clinton&#8217;s White House Counsel&#8217;s office and Deputy Assistant to the President before becoming his chief advisor from 2002 to 2011<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Band worked in Clinton&#8217;s White House Counsel&#8217;s office and served as Deputy Assistant to the President before becoming his chief advisor from 2002 to 2011.<\/p>\n<p>With Band&#8217;s help, Clinton fashioned a new role for his post presidency with his Clinton Global Initiative which donated millions to good causes.<\/p>\n<p>Yet Band was also with Clinton during some of his encounters with Epstein and was on the infamous 2002 trip to Africa about the pedophile&#8217;s private jet where the passengers included Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker.<\/p>\n<p>Photos from the trip show Clinton getting a massage from Chauntae Davies, an Epstein victim who worked as a flight attendant on the jet, nicknamed the &#8216;Lolita Express&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards Clinton called Epstein a &#8216;highly successful financier and a committed philanthropist with a keen sense of global markets and an in-depth knowledge of twenty-first-century science&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The documents are being released as part of a 2015 defamation case against Maxwell brought by Virginia Roberts, Prince Andrew&#8217;s accuser.<\/p>\n<p>The case was settled but the Miami Herald sued to make the case documents public and since 2019 they have been released on a rolling basis.<\/p>\n<p>In Judge Preska&#8217;s ruling, Band is John Doe number eight and she wrote that the documents should be unsealed as &#8216;no interests that outweigh the presumption of access have been identified with specificity&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The judge cited a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9010507\/Clinton-confidante-Doug-Band-tells-confronted-Bill-cheating.html\"><strong>2020 Vanity Fair interview given by Band <\/strong><\/a>and said it was about &#8216;his or her interactions with Epstein&#8217; and him speaking out publicly weighed &#8216;against continued sealing&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The interview was one of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9033071\/Ex-Bill-Clinton-adviser-center-tell-Vanity-Fair-article-steps-Teneo.html\"><strong> most brutal takedowns of Clinton <\/strong><\/a>and it came from somebody who had been so close he was almost regarded as family.<\/p>\n<p>Band, 51, a lawyer who works for a venture capital firm, landed an unpaid internship at the Clinton White House while he was 22 and still studying at Georgetown University.<\/p>\n<p>When Clinton left office in 2001 Band went with him and helped to resurrect his brand that had been tarnished by controversial pardons and the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal.<\/p>\n<p>In the Vanity Fair piece, Band told how he had been trying to get Clinton away from Epstein since their notorious 2002 trip to Africa on the pedophile&#8217;s private plane.<\/p>\n<p>According to Band, who was on the trip, Epstein made a series of absurd claims including that he had invented the market in derivatives, a complex financial instrument.<\/p>\n<p>Band didn&#8217;t know about Epstein&#8217;s crimes then \u2013 he was first arrested in 2006 \u2013 but got enough &#8216;bad vibes&#8217; to advise Clinton to cut ties with him.<\/p>\n<p>But he didn&#8217;t and in 2006 Epstein donated $25,000 to the Clinton Foundation and Clinton made more than 24 more trips on Epstein&#8217;s jet.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2003, Band claimed Clinton visited Little St. James, Epstein&#8217;s island in the US Virgin Islands.<\/p>\n<p>A Clinton spokesperson has strongly denied this, citing Clinton&#8217;s travel log entries which show no visit to the island.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea Clinton&#8217;s relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell was another problem, Band told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/news\/2020\/12\/confessions-of-a-clintonworld-exile\"><strong>Vanity Fair<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton and Chelsea were so close to Maxwell that they attended the King of Morocco&#8217;s wedding where they posed with her and Epstein.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010 Chelsea invited Maxwell to her lavish wedding in Rhinebeck, New York, even though Epstein had by then admitted to having sex with a minor and served 15 months in jail.<\/p>\n<p>Upon his release, Epstein had become a registered sex offender.<\/p>\n<p>Band said: &#8216;Ghislaine had access to yachts and nice homes. Chelsea needed that&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>In late 2011 Band told Clinton&#8217;s office to bar Maxwell from all events related to the family or their various ventures.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than stopping their exposure to somebody embarrassing, his reasons were more personal: to drive a wedge between Maxwell and Chelsea.<\/p>\n<p>Band said: &#8216;I knew in telling everyone to stop including Ghislaine that Chelsea and her father would be very angry.
