\"\"<\/a>THE Kremlin today warned that the threat of a nuclear world war has never been so great since the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962.<\/p>\n

Former Russian president and close Putin<\/a> crony Dmitry Medvedev predicted \u201cnew rivers of blood will flow\u201d.<\/p>\n

He lambasted the Biden administration\u2019s attempts to force the US congress to approve more military support for Ukraine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cNever have they extorted so much money<\/a> for a minor state [Ukraine] that is in the process of collapse.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever have they so aggressively and brazenly extracted money for a country that openly corrupted the current President of the United States<\/a> and members of his family.\u201d<\/p>\n

He was referring to allegations\u00a0of shady business<\/a> dealings\u00a0linked to Joe Biden\u2019s son, Hunter, in Kyiv.<\/p>\n

This comes as another one of Putin’s top diplomats also threatened to target Nato countries if Ukraine\u2019s new F-16 fighters are based in Poland, Slovakia and Romania.<\/p>\n

Maria Zakharova – spokeswoman for the Russian foreign ministry – warned the West that the advanced fighters will be a fair target for Russia if they are based in NATO countries.<\/p>\n

Such an act by Vladimir Putin<\/a> would almost certainly trigger war between the West and Russia.<\/p>\n

Medvedev added: \u201cNever since the Cuban Missile Crisis has the threat of a direct clash between Russia<\/a> and Nato<\/a> leading to the Third World War been so real.\u201d<\/p>\n

Medvedev – known for outlandish rants threatening war – also accused various US presidents throughout history<\/a> of blackmailing lawmakers to fund wars and aid their allies.<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cThe administration and their frightened fosterling\u00a0[Ukraine]\u00a0will, of course, receive the money.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot now, but in the New Year – to continue business during the war at any cost.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd for this loot new rivers of blood will flow, for which the Biden family and all their Bandera bast**** are responsible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>His blast coincides with the warning from the foreign ministry spokeswoman Zakharova.<\/p>\n

Russia’s most senior woman diplomat issued a specific threat to Nato countries on behalf of her boss, Putin’s hawkish foreign minister Sergei Lavrov.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cI would like to say that NATO member states continue, as you understand, to intensively arm Ukraine and the supply of tactical fighters is next\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven the fact that a significant part of Ukraine\u2019s airfield infrastructure has been destroyed, it is possible that these American fighters will be based outside the country, in Poland, Slovakia and Romania.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zakharova added that the risks of military clash between Russia and Nato are only increasing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe North Atlantic Alliance is getting deeper and deeper into the Ukrainian conflict.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the Russian armed forces, fighters participating in the conflict on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, no matter where they fly from, will be a legitimate target for destruction,\u201d she warned.<\/p>\n

The Cuban Missile Crisis<\/a> in October 1962 is seen as the moment the world came closest to a nuclear war between the US and the Soviet Union.<\/p>\n

This is not the first time Putin’s closest allies have issued a chilling warning about the brink of nuclear war.<\/p>\n

Medvedev – now deputy head of the security council – previously threatened to unleash World War 3 <\/a>if the UK sends troops to Ukrainian soil.<\/p>\n

He also made chilling threats to Ukraine’s president Zelensky, hinting of a new assassination attempt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The sickening warning came after Zelensky told the Sun he’s survived five Moscow’s attempts <\/a>on his life.<\/p>\n

Putin’s pal cryptically warned the Ukrainian president is “unlikely to have a chance of living to old age”.<\/p>\n

Medvedev was Russian president from 2008 to 2012 when Putin couldn’t seek reelection because of term limits.<\/p>\n

The Kremlin crony was seen as a Putin surrogate, with the tyrant still leading the country behind the scenes as a prime minister.<\/p>\n

Medvedev then handed the job back to the warmonger, but now he’s eyeing the reins of power again if death or sickness forces Putin out<\/a>.<\/p>\n
