{"id":275699,"date":"2023-11-15T13:15:55","date_gmt":"2023-11-15T13:15:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=275699"},"modified":"2023-11-17T07:44:12","modified_gmt":"2023-11-17T07:44:12","slug":"raid-on-al-shifa-israeli-forces-fire-at-civilians-inside-hospital-as-hamas-calls-us-complicit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=275699","title":{"rendered":"Raid on al-Shifa: Israeli forces fire at civilians inside hospital as Hamas calls US complicit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0The IDF search outbuildings at the al-Shifa hospital<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Press TV \u2013 Nov 15, 2023<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><strong>The general director of hospitals in the Gaza Strip says Israeli troops have fired at people inside the al-Shifa hospital during their raid on the largest medical complex in the besieged enclave.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Munir al-Bursh said that those targeted were trying to leave the hospital corridor, which was earlier declared as safe to exit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot a single bullet was fired from inside the hospital during the occupation forces\u2019 storming of the complex,\u201d he told the Al Jazeera TV network on Wednesday,<\/p>\n<p>Bursh also said that Israeli soldiers entered the surgical and emergency buildings located within the al-Shifa hospital complex and searched its basement.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli military announced that it was \u201ccarrying out a precise and targeted operation\u201d inside the al-Shifa hospital.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the occupation soldiers, tanks and bulldozers entered the facility, where around 7,000\u00a0people are sheltering, along with\u00a01,500\u00a0patients and\u00a0medical staff.<\/p>\n<p>The reports\u00a0also said that the Israeli forces were interrogating the medical staff and patients at the al-Shafa hospital and that they set up electronic checkpoints at the entrance of the facility\u2019s main building.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I&#39;m appalled by reports of military raids in Al Shifa hospital in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Gaza?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Gaza<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The protection of newborns, patients, medical staff and all civilians must override all other concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Hospitals are not battlegrounds.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Martin Griffiths (@UNReliefChief) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UNReliefChief\/status\/1724710386195152910?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 15, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The Palestinian Hamas movement issued a statement in response to the occupation\u2019s crimes in al-Shifa Hospital, saying, \u201cWe hold the occupying regime and its neo-Nazi leaders and US President Joe Biden fully responsible for the consequences of the attack on the al-Shifa medical complex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Palestinian resistance movement Islamic Jihad said, in a statement, that \u201cthe United States is complicit in the occupation\u2019s crime in al-Shifa hospital. Click to enlarge<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Wednesday\u2019s raid came just hours after White House spokesman John Kirby told reporters \u2013 without providing evidence \u2013 that Washington has \u201cinformation\u201d that Hamas is using Gaza hospitals, including al-Shifa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Hamas said the US had given Israel \u201ca green light \u2026 to commit more massacres against civilians\u201d by supporting Israel\u2019s \u201cfalse narrative\u201d that the resistance group was using the al-Shifa hospital as a command and control base.<\/p>\n<p>It further said both Israel and the United States are to blame for the raid that amounted to a \u201cbarbaric crime against a medical facility protected by the Fourth Geneva Convention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe silence of the United Nations and the betrayal of many countries and regimes will not deter our Palestinian people from clinging to their land and their legitimate national rights,\u201d Hamas emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>Israel waged the bloody war on Gaza on October 7 after Hamas\u2019s Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the usurping entity.<\/p>\n<p>Since the start of the war, the Tel Aviv regime has killed at least 11,500 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured over 29,000 others.<\/p>\n<p>It has also imposed a \u201ccomplete siege\u201d on the coastal sliver, cutting off fuel, electricity, food and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Hospital raid \u2018crime against humanity\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Palestinian Authority\u2019s Health Minister Mai al-Kaila said that Israel was committing a \u201cnew crime against humanity, medical staff and patients\u201d by carrying out a military operation inside the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hold the occupation forces fully responsible for the lives of the medical staff, patients and displaced people in al-Shifa,\u201d she said in a statement published by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.<\/p>\n<p>The raid, Kaila noted, could have \u201ccatastrophic consequences\u201d for patients and medical staff.<\/p>\n<p>Israel alleges that Hamas has built its headquarters in bunkers and tunnels under the al-Shifa hospital, a claim strongly rejected by the Palestinian resistance movement and hospital staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t know what they will do to us. We don\u2019t know whether they will kill people or terrorize them.
