You have to have a sense of humor to understand the irony of this story, realizing why any crackdown against violent crime in America \u2013 where it is proliferating \u2013 means the systematic concentration of police force on black individuals who are collectively the reason for the increase in criminality.<\/p>\n

Meet Shivanthi Sathanandan, a Black Lives Matter-promoting, anti-police advocate who just became the victim of violent crime (obviously black individuals, but this fact is strangely omitted from the story) in her own driveway in Minneapolis. [\u2018Defund The Police\u2019 Democrat Politician Left With Broken Leg, Bloodied Face, After Violent Carjacking In Minnesota<\/a>, Zero Hedge, September 8, 2023]:<\/p>\n

The second vice chairwoman for Minnesota\u2019s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, who previously vowed to \u201cdismantle\u201d the Minneapolis Police Department amid widespread Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests, is now calling for tougher crime laws after she was violently carjacked this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a lengthy Sept. 7 post on Facebook, Shivanthi Sathanandan claimed the carjacking incident took place in the driveway of her Minneapolis home in front of her children, who are aged 4 and 7.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The incident left her with a broken leg, deep lacerations on her head, and bruising and cuts all over her body.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ms. Sathanandan shared a photo of herself with what appeared to be blood pouring down her face alongside the post.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFour very young men, all carrying guns, beat me violently down to the ground in front of our kids,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThe young men held our neighbors up at gunpoint when they ran over and tried to help me. All in broad daylight.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cLook at my face in the picture. This is the face of a mother who just had the [expletive] beaten out of her,\u201d she continued. \u201cA mother whose only thought was, \u2018let me run far enough and fight hard enough so that my kids have a chance to get away.\u2019 This is the face of a mother who just listened to her four-year-old daughter screaming non-stop, her 7-year-old son wailing for someone to come help because bad guys are murdering his Mama in the back yard, her neighbors screaming in outrage\u2026 all while being beaten with guns and kicks and fists.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThese men knew what they were doing. I have NO DOUBT they have done this before. Yet they are still on OUR STREETS. Killing mothers. Giving babies psychological trauma that a lifetime of therapy cannot erase. With no hesitation and no remorse,\u201d Ms. Sathanandan wrote.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m now part of the statistics. I wasn\u2019t silent when I fought these men to save my life and my babies, and I won\u2019t be silent now. We need to get illegal guns off of our streets, catch these young people who are running wild creating chaos across our city, and HOLD THEM IN CUSTODY AND PROSECUTE THEM,\u201d she said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cLook at my face. REMEMBER ME when you are thinking about supporting letting juveniles and young people out of custody to roam our streets instead of HOLDING THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS,\u201d the Democrat wrote.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A report from the Minneapolis Police Department obtained by KSTP<\/a> states that Ms. Sathanandan\u2019s vehicle was later abandoned by the suspects and recovered.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is not clear if any suspects have been arrested. The Epoch Times has contacted the Minneapolis Police Department for further comment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The alleged attack on Ms. Sathanandan and her subsequent comments come roughly three years after she accused police of having \u201csystematically failed the Black Community,\u201d and vowed to \u201cdismantle the Minneapolis Police Department.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a post on Facebook<\/a> at the height of the BLM protests taking place throughout the country, sparked by the death of George Floyd while in police custody, Ms. Sathanandan wrote: \u201cWe are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department. Say it with me. DISMANTLE The Minneapolis Police Department.<\/strong>
\n\u201cMPD has systematically failed the Black Community, they have failed ALL OF US. It\u2019s time to build a new infrastructure that works for ALL communities,\u201d she wrote. \u201cIf you are still disagreeing with that BASIC FACT, I\u2019m not sure what to say to you.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In her post on Thursday detailing the alleged carjacking, Ms. Sathanandan vowed that the criminals would not win.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to take back our city. And this will not be the last you hear from me about this,\u201d she said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Democrat concluded the lengthy post by thanking the \u201cincredible Minneapolis 4th Precinct Officers, Mayor Frey, Chief O\u2019Hara, Paramedics, neighbors, friends and DFL family\u201d who \u201call came to our aide during this terrifying experience.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so grateful for this community that wraps us in love,\u201d she wrote.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Notwithstanding the fact Shivanthi Sathanandan should never have been in the United States to begin with, it\u2019s hilarious to see those who advocate for the dismantling of the police establishment, ceding the monopoly of violence to Black Lives Matter terrorists, are quick to call for the restoration of the former when they are exposed to the reality of the latter.<\/p>\n

Those who advocate on behalf of the racial reckoning must not only be exposed to the world they helped birth post-George Floyd, but forever removed from making any political decisions ever again that allow for criminality to thrive and our civilization to evaporate in the absence of law and order.<\/p>\n
