Squatters have taken over a Wyoming city, leaving $1 million worth of damage and 200 kilograms of human feces in their wake.<\/p>\n

Bruce Knell, the mayor of Casper, detailed the destructive behaviour of about 200 homeless people who not only ravaged a vacant motel but created a \u201cmess\u201d throughout the city\u2019s parks and streets.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey destroyed everything,\u201d Knell told Cowboy State Daily<\/a>.<\/em> \u201cIt\u2019s horrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Casper, the second-largest city in the state, has a population of 60,000, but things have been dicey ever since it has been overrun with homeless people who took over an abandoned Econo Lodge motel that hasn\u2019t operated since November due to flooding and other abandoned properties.<\/p>\n

The city had to condemn the motel and the bank that owns the building was forced to board it up to keep squatters out.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was inhabitable, and it was unsafe,\u201d Knell said.<\/p>\n
