According to reputable military commentators like US Col. Douglas Macgregor, Ukrainian forces have sustained massive casualties. The decorated veteran and former White House adviser estimates that as many as 400,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed<\/a> in the fighting so far.<\/p>\n Moreover in the recent failed Ukrainian counteroffensive, Macgregor estimates that as many as 40,000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed.<\/p>\n This is without taking into account the number of Ukrainian wounded, which could total more than a million. Or the number of soldiers whose wounds required limbs be amputated.<\/p>\n Macgregor estimates as many as 50,000 to 60,000 for the latter.<\/p>\n To put that into perspective, the US lost 58,220 killed in Vietnam from July 1965 to January 1973.<\/p>\n So in little more than 18 months Ukraine has sustained MORE THAN SIX TIMES<\/strong> the number of dead the U.S. did in the nearly eight years it had troops fighting in the Vietnam War.<\/p>\n Ukrainian conscripts. Click to enlarge<\/p><\/div>\n We are talking about a REAL BLOOD BATH here that makes America’s experience in Vietnam pale in comparison.<\/p>\n To make matters worse, Ukrainian troops on the front line are reportedly running low on ammunition<\/a> and food<\/a>.<\/p>\n As if that wasn’t enough these young conscripts are receiving only the most rudimentary training before being sent to the front<\/a>. Basically they are being used as cannon fodder.<\/p>\n When these youngsters get to the front they aren’t going to know what hit them. They are in for a terrible shock. Having had extensive combat experience myself I know what these youngsters will go through and my heart goes out to them.<\/p>\n All of which will make surrendering to Russian forces seem very attractive to many.<\/p>\n Although whether they do depends on if they can evade the special units Ukraine has created to enforce discipline and shoot those who try to surrender<\/a>.<\/p>\n One can only feel for these young Ukrainians who are caught up in a war that is largely the creation of warmongers in the West, and scheming political opportunists in Kiev.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/ukr-recruits.jpg\")
