A few days ago YouTube amended their Covid19 Misinformation policy, changing it so it now applies to all things medical.<\/p>\n

The original policy was put in place in the early days of the pandemic, May 2020, and outlawed content in the video sharing platform that \u201ccontradicted the WHO or local health authorities\u201d concerning the pandemic:<\/p>\n

Over the years it\u2019s been regularly updated, outright banning all \u201cvaccine misinformation\u201d in late 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The latest revamp is the biggest so far. The new \u201cmedical misinformation policy\u201d \u2013 no longer just \u201ccovid19 misinformation\u201d \u2013 now addresses cancer treatments, abortion and non-Covid vaccines, according to CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A YouTube spokesman told the media that the new policy will be focusing on three key areas: \u201cPrevention, treatment and denial\u201d<\/em>:<\/p>\n
