One of the world\u2019s most influential climate scientists has blown the whistle with an explosive admission by warning the public that claims of a \u201ccrisis\u201d related to so-called \u201cglobal warming\u201d are \u201cmanufactured.\u201d<\/p>\n

Judith A. Curry is an American climatologist and former chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n

For years, Curry has been one of the leading voices warning that the Earth is facing an \u201cemergency\u201d due to allegedly \u201cman-made climate change.\u201d<\/p>\n

In recent months, the corporate media\u2019s apocalyptic warnings<\/a> of a \u201cclimate crisis\u201d have dramatically increased<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We are told that \u201cclimate change\u201d is a \u201ccrisis,\u201d there is an \u201coverwhelming scientific consensus,\u201d and anyone who dares question otherwise is a \u201cconspiracy theorist\u201d or, more recently, a crazy \u201cMAGA Republican<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Dr. Curry, a renowned climatologist, has just admitted that the fearmongering \u201cscience\u201d has been fabricated in order to scare the public into believing we must fight a \u201cclimate emergency.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a manufactured consensus,\u201d Curry told<\/a> the New York Post.<\/p>\n

She reveals that scientists are pursuing incentives of \u201cfame and fortune\u201d that lead them to exaggerate, or even fabricate, the alleged risks.<\/p>\n

According to Curry, one of the simplest and most effective ways for climate \u201cscientists\u201d to gain \u201cfame and fortune\u201d is to make false claims linking the weather to \u201cglobal warming.\u201d<\/p>\n

It would be easy to assume that Curry is opining on what she thinks scientists are doing.<\/p>\n

However, she knows exactly how the \u201cclimate science\u201d industry works because she was spreading \u201cglobal warming\u201d hysteria herself.<\/p>\n

Curry was previously the darling of the liberal corporate media after she published a study that seemed to show a dramatic increase in hurricane intensity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe found that the percent of Category 4 and 5 hurricanes had doubled,\u201d says Curry.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was picked up by the media,\u201d and then climate alarmists realized, \u201cOh, here is the way to do it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTie extreme weather events to global warming!\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cmore intense\u201d hurricanes reported in her findings rapidly gave the alarmists fuel.<\/p>\n

However, when her work gave her worldwide recognition after it was linked to \u201cclimate change,\u201d Curry admits that she enjoyed the green agenda ride.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was adopted by the environmental advocacy groups and the alarmists and I was treated like a rock star,\u201d Curry recounts.<\/p>\n

\u201cFlown all over the place to meet with politicians.\u201d<\/p>\n

But then some researchers pointed out gaps in her research by highlighting the years with low levels of hurricanes.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike a good scientist, I investigated,\u201d says Curry.<\/p>\n

She realized that the critics were right.<\/p>\n

\u201cPart of it was bad data,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cPart of it is natural climate variability.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curry was the unusual researcher who looked at criticism of her work and actually concluded: \u201cThey had a point.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then the Climategate scandal taught her that other climate researchers weren\u2019t so open-minded.<\/p>\n

Alarmist scientists\u2019 aggressive attempts to hide data suggesting climate change is\u00a0not<\/em>\u00a0a crisis were revealed in leaked emails.<\/p>\n

\u201cUgly things,\u201d says Curry.<\/p>\n

\u201cAvoiding Freedom of Information Act requests.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrying to get journal editors fired.\u201d<\/p>\n

It made Curry realize that there is a \u201cclimate-change industry\u201d set up to reward alarmism.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe origins go back to the . . . UN environmental program,\u201d says Curry.<\/p>\n

Some United Nations officials were motivated by \u201canti-capitalism,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey hated the oil companies and seized on the climate change issue to move their policies along,\u201d Curry explains.<\/p>\n

As Slay News reported<\/a>, during a recent fearmongering speech, UN Director-General Antonio Guterres declared that \u201cthe era of global warming has ended\u201d and \u201cthe era of global boiling has arrived.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 1988, the UN created the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe IPCC wasn\u2019t supposed to focus on any\u00a0benefits<\/em> of warming,\u201d Curry explains.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe IPCC\u2019s mandate was to look for dangerous<\/em>\u00a0human-caused climate change.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThen the national funding agencies directed all the funding . . .\u00a0assuming<\/em>\u00a0there are dangerous impacts.\u201d<\/p>\n

The researchers quickly figured out that the way to get funded was to make alarmist claims about \u201cman-made climate change.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is how \u201cmanufactured consensus\u201d happens.<\/p>\n

Even if a skeptic did get funding, it\u2019s harder to publish because journal editors are alarmists.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe editor of the journal Science wrote this political rant,\u201d says Curry.<\/p>\n

She even said, \u201cThe time for debate has ended.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat kind of message does that give?\u201d Curry asks.<\/p>\n

Then she answers her own question: \u201cPromote the alarming papers!<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t even send the other ones out for review.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you wanted to advance in your career, like be at a prestigious university and get a big salary, have big laboratory space, get lots of grant funding, be director of an institute, there was clearly one path to go.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what we\u2019ve got now: a massive government-funded climate alarmism complex.<\/p>\n

Claims of a \u201cclimate crisis\u201d are being promoted around the globe by governments and their media accomplices in an effort to comply with the green agenda goals of the World Economic Forum<\/a>\u00a0(WEF),\u00a0United Nations<\/a>\u00a0(UN), the\u00a0World Health Organization<\/a>\u00a0(WHO), and other unelected\u00a0globalist organizations<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meeting these goals typically involves plans to drastically reduce the quality of life<\/a>\u00a0for most of the general public while\u00a0ramping up taxes<\/a>\u00a0to \u201csave the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the handful of powerful elites promoting the green agenda will continue to fly around in\u00a0private jets<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0eat meat<\/a>\u00a0because they are \u201cpart of the solution<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curry is not the first renowned scientist to come forward recently, however.<\/p>\n

As Slay News reported<\/a> last month, Dr. John Clauser, the co-winner of the 2022 Nobel Physics prize and one the world\u2019s leading authorities<\/a> on quantum mechanics, has also spoken out to warn the public that the \u201cclimate crisis\u201d narrative being pushed by the global elite and their allies in the corporate media is a hoax.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0blasted \u201cclimate emergency\u201d claims as a \u201cdangerous corruption of science that threatens the world\u2019s economy and the well-being of billions of people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clauser, who was also awarded the 2010 Wolf Prize in Physics, the second most prestigious physics award after the Nobel, warns that\u00a0misguided<\/a>\u00a0climate science is a hoax that is being driven by \u201cmassive shock-journalistic pseudoscience.\u201d<\/p>\n

These views are also echoed by renowned environmentalist Dr. Patrick Moore, a co-founder of Greenpeace.<\/p>\n

As Slay News previously\u00a0reported<\/a>, Moore is also warning the public that the anti-carbon dioxide narrative is a scam.<\/p>\n

Moore, an ecologist and environmental activist for more than 50 years, argues that an increased level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is beneficial.<\/p>\n

According to Moore, claims that climate change is \u201chuman-caused\u201d are \u201cpropaganda\u201d which he describes as \u201cdangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comments from Moore, a leading expert in environmentalism, directly conflict with the green agenda\u00a0being pushed<\/a>\u00a0by Biden\u2019s administration<\/a> and\u00a0globalist groups<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Moore says that environmentalism has been hijacked and the movement has \u201cabandoned science and logic in favor of emotion and sensationalism.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Greenpeace began, we had a strong humanitarian orientation, to save civilization from destruction by all-out nuclear war,\u201d Moore said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the years the \u2018peace\u2019 in Greenpeace was gradually lost and my organization, along with much of the environmental movement, drifted into a belief that humans are the enemies of the Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Slay News\u00a0reported<\/a>, the\u00a0World Climate Declaration<\/a>\u00a0has been signed by around 300 climate professors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no climate emergency,\u201d the document declares.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0lead signatory<\/a>\u00a0is the Nobel laureate Professor Ivar Giaever.<\/p>\n

The Declaration states that climate models are \u201cnot remotely plausible as global policy tools.\u201d<\/p>\n

They exaggerate the effect of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, but ignore any beneficial effect, it explains.<\/p>\n

Climate science has degenerated into a discussion based on beliefs, not on\u00a0sound self-critical science, it says.<\/p>\n

The declaration argues Earth\u2019s climate has varied, with cold and warm periods, for as long as the planet has existed, and it is \u201cno surprise that we are experiencing a period of warming.\u201d<\/p>\n

The climate models \u201care not remotely plausible as global policy tools,\u201d ignoring, for one, the benefits of carbon dioxide, which is \u201cnot a pollutant.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is essential to all life on Earth,\u201d the declaration says.<\/p>\n

There is no statistical evidence, the signatories say, \u201cthat global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts, and such-like natural disasters, or making them more frequent.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050,\u201d the declaration concludes.<\/p>\n
