Street criminals stole everything they could and set businesses on fire. Innocent people were attacked and murdered. In Seattle, the criminals took over a section of the city and turned it into their own self-governing, autonomous zone. Yet the NFL publicly supported them. Major League Baseball and the NBA did the same. Remember that?<\/p>\n<p>Fans were outraged. Many of them burned their sports jerseys. Others cancelled their season tickets. Thousands of people turned off their televisions and earnestly pledged never to support the sports leagues again.
