{"id":267841,"date":"2023-04-19T07:48:40","date_gmt":"2023-04-19T07:48:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=267841"},"modified":"2023-04-21T06:47:33","modified_gmt":"2023-04-21T06:47:33","slug":"iran-prepared-to-destroy-tel-aviv-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=267841","title":{"rendered":"Iran prepared to \u2018destroy Tel Aviv\u2019 \u2013 president"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>RT.com \u2013 April 18, 2023<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi warned on Tuesday that any hostile move from Israel<em> \u201cwill lead to the destruction of Haifa and Tel Aviv.\u201d<\/em> Speaking at an annual military parade, Raisi called on the US and other <em>\u201cextra-regional\u201d<\/em> forces to leave the Middle East for their own benefit.<\/p>\n<p>Delivering his remarks as armored vehicles rolled by and fighter jets flew overhead, Raisi marked Iran\u2019s annual Army Day by proclaiming that <em>\u201cthe smallest hostile move\u201d<\/em> from the <em>\u201cZionist regime\u201d<\/em> in Israel will <em>\u201clead to the destruction of Haifa and Tel Aviv,\u201d<\/em> according to Iran\u2019s Tasnim news agency.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian leaders often use Army Day to make bombastic threats against Israel and the US. Last year, Raisi issued a similar warning, saying that Iran\u2019s armed forces would target <em>\u201cthe center of the Zionist regime\u201d<\/em> if Israel made <em>\u201cthe tiniest move against the nation of Iran.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>However, this year\u2019s speech came amid higher-than-usual tensions between the two regional powers. Iran blamed Israel for drone attacks on a military plant in February, while Israel accused Iran of violating its airspace with an unmanned aircraft earlier this month. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly warned that Iran is on the verge of enriching weapons-grade uranium, declaring last month that a <em>\u201chorrible nuclear war\u201d<\/em> would ensue if Iran developed atomic weapons.<\/p>\n<p>Tehran denies that it is seeking a nuclear weapon, and has reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/574104-iran-nuclear-deal-freeze\/\">rejected<\/a> efforts by the US to talk it back into a deal where it would freeze enrichment in exchange for sanctions relief.<\/p>\n<p>In Tuesday\u2019s speech, Raisi singled out the US as a destabilizing force in the Middle East. <em>\u201cThe extra-regional and American forces must leave the region as soon as possible, because it will be to the benefit of themselves and the region,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p>While Saudi Arabia is often a target of Tehran\u2019s rhetoric, Raisi\u2019s speech made no mention of Riyadh. The president did, however, say that Iran\u2019s armed forces <em>\u201cwarmly shake the hand of regional nations\u201d<\/em> willing to cooperate on issues of mutual security, likely a reference to the recent Chinese-brokered detente between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/574962-iran-army-destroy-israel\/\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is no empty threat.
