Click to enlarge<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Iran\u2019s top general says the country is now capable of producing ballistic missiles capable of destroying moving marine targets.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to reporters on Monday, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri said, \u201cThis missile has been successfully tested and its mass production has started.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cAfter production of this missile, Iran will be among the three countries possessing the [technical] know-how to make such missiles,\u201d the general said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the new ballistic missile can hit its target with a speed of Mach 8 and with a final range of 1,500 kilometers and is capable of delivering precision strikes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cFrom now on, invading airplane carriers and [foreign] fleet will not be safe at a distance of 1,500 kilometers of our shores and this is an achievement reached by our elite youths,\u201d Baqeri said.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made substantial headway in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian officials have repeatedly warned that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, saying the Islamic Republic\u2019s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.<\/p>\n<p>Back in November, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)\u2019s Aerospace Division, Brigadier General Amirali Hajizadeh, said Iran possesses global-level drone power and is now a pioneer in missile technology.<\/p>\n<p>He added that Iran stands on par with global powers in terms of unmanned aerial vehicles, and its achievements in this field have challenged the world\u2019s powerful armies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.presstv.ir\/Detail\/2023\/03\/06\/699405\/Iran-Baqeri-chief-staff-ballistic-missile-marine-targets\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Actually, most of Iran&#8217;s naval missiles can hit moving targets.
